Dreams coming true, for real people, around the world! A mother's ring in the timeless classic art of the Celts ...
For Kim Christian a most interesting and delightful design...
The Asian Dragon is a very dramatic design, here framing the Ying/Yang symbol, and perfect for that wedding ring design...
The Sandberg masters tell a story when combined, and as symbols of their union what makes more sense? Woven from tradition and tapestry of celtic art, a sheer delight to build the master. The Sacher clann in Ireland will be dancing when they lay hands on these treasures. The dramatic contrast of the blazing white rails and rich yellow gold center is radiant. Light plays like liquid over the rails, framing a rich natural design. The two 1.05 AGS idealcut "F-VS2" dramatic diamonds will soon be joined by an amazing center diamond, stand by :) And with that I move back to the bench, and engineering more dreams into precious metal and gems. The tiny preview only shows the ying-yang symbol, but look closer and you will see the surrounding Dragon and opposite Pheonix framing that element, a strong dramatic design. When there is enough width and a good strong design great things happen, detail here is easy to see, as in the project which inspired it...
Marquise Diamonds Rock...
After some thought antique was requested on the "A&S" ring, and as you see it powerfully defines the design, details and adds a contrast... Ready to rock now... :) Celtic theme triskets weave a tight and complex design in white gold, a classic and comfortfitted beauty. The classic princesscut flanked with tapered baggettes is shown too... For the sapphire lover here is a design, original based on a design from my celtic ring library, tapering slightly, powerfully framed in rich celtic theme.... Bezel set nice and low, framed by the body of the ring nicely, the taper being the key for getting the best design on top, and comfort-fit rounded inside as well to make very comfortable indeed... Marquise is one of the fancy shapes, and the key for the marquise lover is a combination of depth, table and shape, which combine to produce a look like this. Sheerly delightly bright and full, as you can see. Set in a classic flanked with tapering diamond bagguettes there is no more elegant look. Speaking of elegance, check the custom designed wedding bands for the Barrett Clann. Blistering cool, holly and woven letters in a natural setting. To me this is being a jeweler, not selling gold plated zippos... {grin}
Christina, yer wax is done...
For the European hand engraving lover, the purist who likes it just so, I think that the Ritsinias project will be noticed, and admired. Jerome is one of the finest hand engravers around, and the detail is amazing fine...
How about an 18Kt gold "LabRat" for Achievement!?@?! Custom, personalized and unique, just like Liz...
For Ewelina I have drawn their design into a pattern which will work very well indeed. The detail and the rhodium plated background will produce a very subtile finish and contrast, a very elegant look.
For Stephanie the stage is now set for a unique set of rings, which combine to tell a story. Most excellent itteration here.,, modesty don't enter into it :) The ring for Voelkel is ready for Jerome to engrave, and the Sandbergs get a powerful definition of their dream.
Two tone celtics are amazing, as you can see...
A design that is complete when the rings and side by side. Inspired custom, dreams coming true...
Dragons as a theme for a band ring, a natural chalice version, and two others highlighting a medieval dragon... Pick your favorite and we build!
Platinum rails with the warm yellow gold inside makes for a work of art. The color contrast is wonderful indeed, and the look is great. The geometric ring that I just finished has a wonderful symmetry and look, for a very cool look indeed.
Look close, and appreciate the detail here in these...
First and most perfect for the two carat person looking for beauty and totally eyecleawn and at the best price here is an AGS Idealcut 1.91 Carat brilliant fireball, on my desk the picture tells the story, call now for the pick of the litter! Now, the masters for the Barett clan with the Holly element and the flowing script is outstanding fine. Picture says it all here. The Chown master is blaster fine, triskets a plenty. The Sacher masters are done, and in one shot I show the effect of the two tone,,, Pretty amazing fine there, yes??? Speaking of fine fine, here is the finnished Maggy ring, with the detailing and finished polish, an amazing hand engraved ring by Ray. Personally designed, set and engraved this is an expression of who I am, and what I do.
Celtic Wonders & a blistering fine marquise diamond.
Bonus shot for Maggy {Grin}
Updated Holly drawing {grin}
Holly is the theme here, and so a sweet repeating field of holly with initials in the center, very flowing lines here...
The Medeival Flying Dragon, ready to make that dream ring...
The rich celtic artform is perfect for timeless classic wedding bands, and here you see warm yellow gold centers framed with brilliant white, for a look that is both bold and elegant in symmetry. Thing about the design is that is has strong flavor, and a crisp tailored feel with the framing rails. Now, for a lover of the marquise diamond cut this diamond I just shot is amazing. Note the fullness of the fire and lively nature of the diamond, no dead spots... What a delightful marquise this is...
A great diamond is a work of art!
Presented with a drawing of their dragon I have refined it, and stirred it into a 10mm wide band ring design, or rather three different ones. I liked all three ideas so I built the sim for each, flames and dragons, shadows and a marvelous idea.
Heartshape diamonds combine with a brilliant center diamond to make one of the most elegant rings yet. Radiant cuts are wonderful, and as the center in a diamond studded wedding set it doesn't get better!!
In the way of patterned bands I occasionally get a request for a celtic phrase, and in this case the words are spaced with claddaugh elements, which fill in so very well. Great flavor here, and the depth and result will be wonderful indeed as you can see...
It's darned hard to photograph a great diamond and do it justice. The diamond is a wonderful cut and a beauty, I show it beside a common dime so you can also gauge the size, which is very impressive indeed. Ccall Duane and the rest will be history :)
A wax and a lovely finished crossover three stone ring!
Butterflies flank this fine diamond, with diamonds in their wings and
yellow flying over a white body a true delight is previewed today! Hand
engraving by Jerome, an old friend and the best hand engraver I have known
in 35 years in this biz. Channelset with a partial bezel and a nice very
low ring is born. Elegant and very practical as well, can't beat that
combination... Blistering fine diamond shown... One great wax showing
the way the heartshape flanking stones perfectly work in this ring, the
look will be stunning. The finished ring is a delightful crossover style
that is very innteresting in that from top down the action of the sides
is not readily seen, but as the ring tips the curving lines and over/under
feel of the gallery is a wonderful counterpoint.
Classic Elegance defined!
Great ring finished, and a wax of something to come :) For the fine
diamond there is, in my humble opinion, no finer setting than the classic
solitaire in platinum. This particular setting has a nice low crown that
is both strong as well as beautiful, this is the best o both worlds, where
the diamond is featured and the ring complements the sheer beauty of the
diamond.
Photos tell the story so well indeed!
Wonderful matching wedding band against the original, a very nice
flavor and match. The crossover ring is for Duane's customer, and the
drawing is of a nice single color yellow ring, rhodium plated for a white
cast subtile background. A stronger effect than what inspired you, for
your stronger design! "NICE!" Beth, here is that was against the engagement
ring, nicely contoured it's clear this works perfectly. The Claddaugh
flavored natural wonder band is done, with grace it is a wonderful design.
Now, that is what custom is about! The bands in 18Kt are blazing cool,
with a hand contoured look and feel, more the woven undulating threads
to accentuate the crossovers... Lightly antiqued, and very cool. Gotta
go fer now...
Cool things to see on a Friday!!
OK, long week but wanted to batch up some very cool shots before
I hit the motorcycle today and find out how traffic is effected by having
both George Bush and Kerry here today!!!!! How come they call themselves
parties when their having all the fun and we're picking up the tab?!?
Career liars and theives, welcome to reality... But a fast ride on a loud
bike will make it all seem right somehow... Later folks, enjoy the previews,
they speak for themselves nicely anyway :)
Heartshaped diamonds flanking a magnificient center!
Part of the enjoyment for me is sharing the "process" which brings
fine results. Shown are some lovely examples of celtic art, the one gent's
pierced ring for Armstrong I shall do over, it came out more like 5mm
than 6mm, but looks super. The partial ring I show for John to let him
know I am not sleeping... {grin}... Very soon you will see that magnificient
star sapphire floating in there, and a powerful ring is born, and model
to offer yer clients... Good stuff!!!! In the galaxy of celtic there is
no more elegant than the swirls designs. The flavor and the feel of the
flowing lines and rich design in yellow gold, with framing very low in
this case platinum rails. The nice lower profile rather than raised and
rounded will match the engagement ring very well. A very powerful set
of rings in the celtic theme, the natural flavor of the floral vines weave
up to the center diamond, both rings framed with contrasting slightly
raised and rounded rails. For a wonderful combination here are twin heartshape
diamonds of a supreme shape, flanking a wonderfully brilliant round center
diamond, for a full look and symmetry this combination is perfect. "Hold
'em if ya got 'em"... :)
Bob, here's yer brother's ring, I will set it today!!!!!! :)
Great gent's ring... Super family ring, and the pendant is done too...
Shots did not come out, Duane needs a refresher course appearantly. The
Arabic Script rings are done... For the person who has a sample of the
perfect design for them, redrawn faithfully, to finger size, and width.
Note that the "extended" version allows a masked sizing space very subtile,
but practial. For the engraving lover, sometimes words are not needed...
Fer the kid with the hopes of either football or basketball here is a
ring to celebrate just that moment in time! The 1.09 Radiant cut will
work perfectly against 3mm side stones, as you can plainly see. The crown
is a pegtop for this ring, so the fact is any size stone will work fine,
by design. What did Bonnie Raitt say? "You only see the world you make?"
Well, Bob's world is about family and tradition, and I am so pleased to
create the symbol for Bob which he will present to his brother, and to
celebrate the marvelous tapestry that is family. Today I set the diamonds
in the stars, the sapphire in the dagger hilt, and ready this for transport.
Stand by Bob :)
Friday at last!!!!!! :)
Amazing ring for my friend John to see, the stone sets into the domed
celtic knottwork, and becomes part of the design. I will raise the stone
slightly but wanted you to see this... The 1.09 Radiant is smashing fine...
Blaster fine celtic cathedral swirl that I redrew for a slightly narrower
7.5mm width at the top, for a great framing effect for the center. I tweeked
the design some to get a stronger and fuller patttern here, and am ready
to make that dream ring come true. The finished rings for Stinson are
amazing fine, white raised rails and a rich yellow gold center that just
glows against the white framing rails, a study in contrast here...
The Buckley Clann has some wonderful things to see :)
For the "Repeating Continious Design" one can nstill accomidate sizing,
and that area planned as a place where the ropes span across an area,
there by preserving an area which can be sized, then the lines chased
for the same effect. I am a practical sort and sizing and service have
always been a part of jewelry for me. Either way, a great pair of rings
will result. The look is so little changed by the mod to permit sizing
that it makes huge sense, and in this pierced design even more. I feel
very honored to be asked by John at Simply Sapphires to design two rings
for two very outstanding gems. A celtic theme seems a natural home for
these amazing stones, and I show two very low, very dramatic ideas now.
The Foley clann has some wonderful rings headed out today for their wedding,
strong knott patterns, in matching rings. Wonderful white gold ring shown,
three arching curves and a woven textured counterpoint. We have a very
cool engagement ring that Tim designed, and against that is shown the
mockup of the wedding ring, fits nicely and will hand work to refine the
model before molding, but it nicely shows the effect. The gent's band
is blistering cool... The effect of the width and detail are clear. Most
excellent Tim! The Colwell clann has a very cool ring indeed, taking directly
from an ancient wood carving, a celtic masterwork has been faithfully
transformed into an amazing result. Gotta run fer now, but will preview
more tomorrow...
Lightning????!!
The ring for A.H. Birthday present for the allstar, with a promising
sports future just ahead!!! Echoes across the land and dramatic lightning
illuminate the night. The challenge was to make a lightning theme patterned
band... Drawn from actual photos, for a natural design. Princesscut diamonds
are a show all by themselves, and here is a very classic ring that highlights
the diamond, in smooth clean curves and rounded form, a great look. The
O'Neill clan has three rings streaking toward them, twin matching 18Kt
classic celtic wonders and a cool silver ring for their son, for a symbol
of unity and love... Now, selling gold plated zippos might be some people's
cup of tea, but for me it is about the magic and the wonder of watching
ideas come alive, building quality by design. Gotta go :) Very cool matching
wedding ring shown too against the engagement ring original, note the
darkness in the lines will be gone, so the look will be the same nicely...
Dragons??!!
A marvelous set of rings in the making, and see how the rails are slightly
raised and rounded? When this is two tone 18Kt it will be a blistering
fine look. The perfect ring for the
Medina engagement ring is of course a nicely contoured wedding
ring that echoes the theme. Shown from a few angles so you can get the
idea well :) For hand engraving Jerome is a master, check out the delicate
european classic hand engraving by one of the best. The Red Dragon, from
the Welch flag, transformed into wearable art, at 12mm wide this is a
bold and dramatic design... Magnificnet pair of 1.11carat diamonds, and
a drawing of what might be... ...and a drawing for Rebeca :) Regal lions
guard the wide bold band ring, what a delightful design.
What to do with a fine diamond marquise??!! _
Twin elegant band rings with Arabian script, the name of god, for
both meaningful as well as dramatic rings. The bold strong lowered background
highlights the text, flowing as powerfully defined elements, with rounded
"borders" imaged in the design. The wax shown is a classic form, with
european hips. Gotta love the look, and the hips keep the right aligned
to a much greater degree. Took a while to get to this, sorry about that...
Shown is a great shape marquise diamond, and note that backdropped by
two nice styles that allow the stone to set nice and low. The one sports
trillion framing stones for a flash look, the complex celtic ring body
offers a timeless echo of ancient celtic art. Which ever way you go, there
you are :)
Platinum is a great choice for wedding bands!!
Waxes as well, image that... Platinum celtic swirls show nicely here,
a weighty and impressive ring to be sure. The timeless classic celtic
swirl designs are wonderful. A Medieval design inspired by wonderful carvings
in the ruins of the monastery at Adelberg. The flowing lines and graceful
shapes suggest a natural stylized floral design. Very nicely translated
into wedding bands :) Some of the gothic and medieval designs rival the
finest celtic art! Here is a wonderful regal platinum band ring, the art
is inspired by Romanesque friezes from the former town hall, Saalfeld
Germany. Subtile and powerfully defined, there is a very small place to
size if needed. Enjoy the design, and result, and always remember that
dreams can come true, if you only try. ...at least that is what I am told
that is...
More dreams coming true!!
Here is a perfect solution for the wedding ring, the pave' sides
will work very well and keep the theme strong. Imagine that! Here I just
took the existing pictures of the engagement ring and worked up a simulation
of a trim wedding band, patterned like the engagement ring, with sides.
The lower right shot does not show the lines, but for a simulation of
effect it works nicely. Soooo, visulize a very cool wedding ring and away
we go to find it :) The very cool gents ring is done for the Pierce clann,
the wax for the diamond and twin amethist is done, as is the sapphire
and trillions ring is as well. A very nice channelset melle in an airline
form is shown too. Time fer lunch :)
Family Traditions, in living color!!
A white gold celtic ring with a design that yields a nice lacey edge,
and a very cool and powerfully classic look. Note the inside comfort-fitted
bevel and the thickness, which makes for a lush and impressive ring indeed.
The wax shown sports twin amethist bagguettes and a classic form. A Pave'
pendant is planned, with the 4mm princesscut and a pave' field of diamonds,
for a dramatic look. There are 14 small diamonds which form the pave'
field and I have imaged a "Back-side" for the pendant too, which will
produce a rim around the bottom and the illusion of thickness as well.
A Family tradition is born, a two sided pendant with one side the family
crest and the other symbolic of pendants made for Bob and his wife. The
form is delightful in this master, with fine detail and functionally bulletproof
for the active wearer. The Webber master shows what will be a masterful
mother's ring, the slot between the trillions will sport a flush set fullcut
diamond, to complete the design. White center, Yellow rails, powerfully
personalized.
Dreams coming true!!
For the Colwell crew we have a delightfully complex and interesting
design, taken from a wood carving which was a supreme example of the zoomorphic
art of the ancient celtic nation. The Conoley master is most elegant indeed,
slightly raised and rounded rails, and a complex swirl design that Richard
redrew, adding personal details that make this design unique to them.
Custom is the reason I got into this business, and the reason I remain
to this day, the creativity and challenge is like a drug. For the triangle
clipped corner emerald a celtic theme engagement ring, with a matching
gent's ring, and what makes this particularly cool is that they drew these
designs themselves, for a very personalized dream come true. This is the
master stage, where we can see the effect, and how cool this will be :)
Let me know and we move to casting and the real ones :) Now, here is a
very interesting situation where there is an existing engagement ring,
but now comes the time to design a matching wedding ring. The rings fit
very nicely, the one side being fitted to the existing ring, and the new
wedding ring will also have a sapphire set in the same say as does the
side of the engagement ring. The pattern is a wonderful match, and the
effect will be a very nice set indeed...
Dreams coming true!!
Dramatic hands clasp the heart, in a traditional design, but note
the strong knot design that picks up after the wrists, a strong and a
powerful design. Danny's ring is blaster, white with a subtile yellow
framing effect. Powerful and bold, a wonderful ring indeed. The celtic
swirls are perfection for a wide ring design, the detail comes screaming
out so well... The three stone pendant and chain are shown, subtile and
supple, the elegance is there is spades. Four sapphires to delight, all
very fine, and all, different. Pick yer favorite. The Labrat has been
refined and tweeked, and now is one of the finer funnest things ever have
I made. Steve is gonna be delighted, but Liz will be estatic!!!!
An elegant celtic white gold treasure!!
The Name of God, a wonderful pair of rings does sport. The design
here is taken from furnished art, Arabic script that is flowing and wonderfully
suited to a dramatic effect and result. I cannot build in the meaning,
but I can make a symbol that will be worthy... Enjoy the preview, and
love the idea I do!!! Celtic themes run deep in the matching pair of rings,
two tone. The celtic cathedral has yellow gold rails bordering a white
center, where a dramatic design unique to them runs. The taper I thought
might lessen detail did not, and the accent color combined with the warm
center stone tones to make a legandary ring, and wonderous set. A stunning
white gold celtic ring is shown, and note the slightly raised and rounded
rails, which both protect the design as well as adds a tailored crispness
that is delightful. Note the inside bevel that is very comfortable.
A Friday to Remember!!
First check out the platinum ring with yellow gold acccent triskets, for
a delightful low and practical wedding set. Creative and visually powerful,
and designed to be as troublefree as was any ring ever. Now, there is
also a great set of celtic swirls, with the ladies ring set with diamonds.
For a bright and powerful custom design the Marchefsky clan has a wonderful
set of rings they designed, amazing detail and elegant in the result.
Now the twin set of ring with the Dragons on the side are amazing fine,
the off set aqua and the gent's ring with the Alexandirite, for a great
look and feel. In the end it is creativity and making those dreams come
true with class and style which has always drawn me to this buiness. Wearable
art, made one at a time faithful to the original vision which inspired
them. The most difficult area of the jewelry business by far, where results
speak loudly and words matter little.
NEW!!
Had to break up the line of previews, the row was getting too long :)
Now is the perfect time to bring your dream to life, just give me a call
and watch it come to life right here!!!
NEW!!
Very cool wax shownn! While simulations take a good block of time they
also help folks to visulize the idea better, the bevels, the way the background
drops. Here is a design redrawn by Jeremy and about as cool as it gets.
Gotta go tonight and buy the first round, sorry for the lack of prattle,
but the images speak well themselves. I wanted to show how pave' earrings
and pendant might be made to match the existing ring. Duane told me the
specs and I wanted to suggest that 1 1/2 inches seems a bit long since
the pave' field in nthe ring is about 2.5 times longer than wide, and
at 6mm times 32mm (1 1/2 inch) it seems a bit long. To keep costs down
and match the field better I suggest a second look, at about 18mm x 6mm
or a 3:1 aspect ratio... make sense???
NEW!!
A very sharp celtic ring with white rails, yellow gold center and a lovely
7.5mm center stone. Nice and low to the hand, and very classy for certian.
The three stone ring is a classic, elegance and style with a maximum of
brilliance and fire. The two earrings are shown to compare to each other,
for size. Gotta go but more tomorrow...
NEW!!
Three stone ring shown, blaster fine!!! Hot day, very thirsty, gotta go
tonight and get refreshed with a friend :) No patter tonight, but that
comfortfit band ring set with a lightening bolt of diamonds is awesome
indeed... Gotta go... For the McGovern clann a sweet celtic knottwork
ring, engraved inside to further personalize. Twin pierced celtics are
also shown... A second drawing of the wooden ancient carved celtic pattern,
with the addition of some dramatic elements in the center top of the design,
woven into a complex and unique design...
Check out these!!!
Very interesting celtic mother's ring, with trillions which will be set
nicely low, with the top slightly thickening to clear those well. Powerfully
cool ring there... Three princesscuts matched as finely as it gets, and
a cool bold turquoise ring with a rich celtic flavor. A finished ring
that just bliped out the door, accent diamonds grace the gallery. Sunny
day, gotta go ride the motorcycle and set off car alarms... {grin}...
Normal is much over-rated me thinks... Enjoy the previews, and do dream
bigger than the mall showcases...
Timeless Celtic Treasures..
From a richly carved ancient wooden celtic carving is born a very sophisticated
design, with fine and bold elements, for the Colwell clann... Faithful
and most elaborate, note the bottom sizing area continues the pattern
across, for esthetic as well as practical sense... Good stuff! For the
Powell clann a two tone look, with a matching band. The look is most elegant,
and the plan is to make these in 18Kt gold! Mary would really like an
Arabic phrase, and has sent me three examples, which I preview here. Shown
in yellow gold with imaged borders I will build which ever you find echoes
your wishes the best. Dramatic and elegant, the flowing celtic knott design.
The process yields a marvelous results as you see, capturing the flavor
of the complex knottwork in a very tailored way. Now, check out the hand
drawn design for the Pfeielmeier clann, based on a wolves theme and inspired
by a past project a most wonderful design is realized. Not all celtic
rings are built the same way, notice the inside comfort-fit bevel, and
the nice thickness of the ring body? Built to last, one at a time, by
hand. No mass production, no corporate wonks here, rather artisans with
an eye to class fine results, by design.
A very full day..
I have just fired up some great projects, that I finally have time now
after we are done with the move... The "Sharp" master is done, a magnificient
Medieval design with a very tailored look. The Petro master is done, the
center strip modified art is great. The hand drawn rings by the Marchefsky
clan is shown. The fact is that I enjoy watching dreams come true like
this as much as anyone ever has here :) I have re-imaged the ring for
Hopkins as well, including the bezel, so I can control the fit, effect
and all things here. The Chowinard ring is done too, three stones in a
stylized eternity symbol, floating over a rich medieval design, suggestive
of floating hearts. The drawing for the Webber clan I took some liberties
on, the center as a square just did not fit into the design well, but
setting the stones in low bezels, turned to take advantage of the space
and... A natural design that flows and is wonderful!!!!!!
Wax on, Wax off..
Now we show a wax that was just finished, with a free form look and textured
feel which holds a nice round brilliant down nice and low, for a very
easy wear ring. The first stage in a great project is ready to rumble...
Anything worthwhile takes a series of steps to the greatest possible result,
and fine jewelry is no exception.
A Natural Wonder..
We're moved into the new offices now! Here's a creative pair of blaster
designs ready to go, a hand drawn wolves design inspired by a past project,
and a delightful matching pair of bands, one with an emerald, the other
with a slightly domed, slightly raised crest center, echoing the theme.
Creativity is why I love custom, and now I am ready to make those dreams
come true, in more efficient, more comfortable offices... later folks,
enjoy the preview! The only thing that could be nicer than the four stone
engagement ring is the matching shadow wedding band, form fitted and most
elegant. Simulation shown for Marchesky... They drew a most wonderful
design and I have translated that into the width and finger size/length
for a true personal classic. The Wolf ring theme for Lamming is delightfully
fun, with the moon textured for effect and the wolf brightly contrasting.
The family crests are represented on the sides, and a young man's dream
has indeed come true! More later.
More creative projects, someone's dream coming true...
The two tone cathedral, matching gents ring, oakleaves and a diamond in
a very low bezel, and a blaster 18Kt emerald and diamond ring. Remember
me for this page, these marvelous creations and the wide diversity you
see here... When dreams no-longer matter there is no need for dreamers...
Have a marvelous evening, and enjoy the previews. After a fairly restful
evening I did want to point out how cool the two tone celtic cathedral
is, the parts will combine into a first class breathtaking result, with
the matching gent's ring as a brilliant companion. Call in, or email to
approve, and we move to the next stage...
A Two tone celtic fantasy design, visions of things to come...
Now, for Nicole the mission was to echo the theme of her amazing engagement
ring into a gent's ring band form, bringing along the magic and wonder.
Note I have imaged three small diamonds into the design, and stand ready
to make this happen, as simulated... Totally wonderful to see the matching
ring takeing shape :) For Doug I redrew this design, framed in yellow
gold and with a rich tapestry of celtic knottwork down the center in white.
This will be a quite challenging project for sure, and one that will be
outstanding indeed. A drawing of a very elaborate celtic theme shown today,
the center a 0.75 carat diamond, in platinum and yellow gold trim. The
imaged groove will be inlaid with yellow gold wire, millgrained to add
that tastey border treatment. I have drawn the center set in platinum,
flanked by powerfully defined triskets. You like? {grin}
A wax for a dramatic emerald flanked with diamonds, and more...
Hand Engraving Shown, a most impressive ring indeed! a blaster fine set
of celtic rings, and just take a look at the detail and the design...
The C-bezel or partial bezel is a great look, and here you see a stone
remounted into a very nice ring indeed. The nice wide look is great, and
the way the ring is lighter than it looks makes for a very easy wearing
ring.
A Fantasy offering, an amazing engagement ring master, and more
Now, for Ed I have a most elegant celtic family crest heirloom to check
out, and indeed while I always find alot to say these pictures say it
all... Dustin has a great design, and desided to remake it in a wider
style, and again I find prattle pale next to the results, and these shots.
Dustin,
here is a bonus shot :) For the Mashburn crew there is a dream ring
coming yer way soon, a stylish and delightful full diamond look. The Petro
master is done, the matching wedding ring for the engagement ring shown,
also going to slightly narrow it to match the engagement ring exactly,
but loved the result so much that I had to show ya here... Pretty cool
huh? Well, I am ready to show Sam the body of the very creative Dragon
and Phoenix ring body, the center stone will be set in a crown, pegtop,
and float above the framing elements. Note the slight dome so the radiating
effect of the sunburst kicks the light down
A wax mod and finished celtic starts the day.
An amazing cool pendant, with matching earrings, for a sleek bezelset
look and great look. THe wax mod is to show the now european hip shank
and the way that works, the wax is just great. The twin celtic rings are
shown as well, wonderfulk examples of the timeless classic art form of
the celtic tradition and culture. More later... Like a dramatic equestrian
theme band ring accented with diamonds, and to plan it out and offer different
translations of that dream is the mission. Creative custom, be design.
Refining the Phoenix and Dragon theme ring...
Round diamonds and baggettes channelset into a sweet low form, I shall
let the pictures speak for this one. Blaster cool master design of a ring
inspired by the "Horan" project, a rich three stone look that is draped
in a wonderfully gothic feeling design, with a medieval design that suggests
heartshapes. The Dustin masters are done too, with a tour around the rings,
and at this wider version you can see how good it gets... Outstanding
detail shown... More space between the elements, a trisket celtic knott
and the infinity symbol woven together into a unique and interesting,
for a wonderfully cool and ornate effect. The yellow framing rails will
frame the design, for effect.... I think we're home :) So, what I have
done here is to take the idea and to taake the tail of the Phoenix and
the Dragon and bring them strongly around, the small rubies are now shown
in the eyes. The center stone shown is about the carat size, and the slight
doming of the top will enhance the effect and add great interest. The
stylized sunburst seems a natural for the centering element, and a classic
is born!!!!!
Dramatic Celtic Asscher cut, and more..
Yo Steve, now I realized when I got home that I only did top down views,
with 90% of the detail and work unshown. Must say that yer request to
se the second set gives me a chance to do both show those as well as show
off a bit and show the detail of the sides. For reference, note the serations
on the diamond tweezers for scale, then appreciate the detail better {grin}
A delightful marquise diamond is shown, a wonderful shape and that is
the key. Celtic theme runs deep in the Asscher cut diamond ring, with
the stone set nice and low into the design, so it feels a part of the
design rather than stuck on... The Celtic swirl is shown after recasting,
the metal did not completely fill the flask when cast so over was a very
good thing. The Brandon earrings are wonderfully ornate, the millgraining
and the hand engraving to a detail that makes the setting feel like snowflakes,
the weight controlled for easy wear and a dramtic look. Today is about
over dude, and dudettes, and so I tips me hat, fumble for my motorcycle
keys, and look to the open road once again {Grin}... Tomorrow is entirely
another day...
Dragon and Phoenix, woven into a dramatic ring..
Turquoise in white metal, a canvas for a wonderful detailed celtic tapesty,,
tapering from framing the center. I also show a powerful gent's ring,
at 32mm across it is remarkably comfortable, and the area provides an
ample canvas for dramatic detail. The Wallace 18Kt white gold celtic theme
ring is done, a stylized floral design, with crossovers and more. Sweet!
One of the more challenging things I do is to try and find a translation
of an idea or design which takes advantage of both the process, the faithful
following of the original idea,. and yields an elegant and timeless result.
Here we have the sim for a phoenix and dragon design, that is based on
a center stone, and has a very cool radiating effect out to the elements.
Circling the center, what a marvelous design, and I will put a slight
dome to the top to accent the effect. marvelous to see creative ideas
which would have died during a sales-clerks lunch break go forward to
make legendary wearable art. Call me silly, but that is why I got into
this business 40 years ago, and to this day I find projects like this
take on a life of their own.; Enjoy, and call me :)
Dramatic, Diamonds and eye candy today..
Fer Ed the wider celtic master, fer Witter a blaster fine wax, and the
Mashburn wax is prime time, ready to go. Later some waxes but fer now
the oval diamond flanked by the twin matched pearshapes are both elegant
and powerfully defined, the lines of the ring allow the diamonds to be
dramatically shown, yet very safe and sound as well. Next the oval sapphire
simply glows with a vibrant and powerfully saturated blue, offset by the
diamonds and millgraining down the shank, and with three very small diamonds
in the crown, jusgt below a millgrained edge... Decorative prongs which
are split and the lines fade into the crown for a smooth sleek result.
Sweet rings here.
The Celtic Cathedral, wearable art... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
A sunstone emerald cut is shown, perfect for that trio custom set, the
coin ring is delightful, and the langdon masters are done and shown for
your enjoyment. The McAndrew masters are quite complex, with dragons framing
the sides and a delightful celtic open swirl design flanking bezel set
colored stones, nice and low since that was designed in. Great vision
here for a wonderful effect, and a powerfully interesting set of rings
for constant comments... Quite cool this design, was very much fun to
find it for you {Grin}... Enough dreaming for now, more later... Time
to show a wonderful ring that is ready for that center stone. Now, as
a craftsman and the innovator of the celtic cathedral I must say that
I am honored the Vaughn crew found this ring so charming as to want it
enough to order it before they have decided what shape diamond to get.
Very versitle, this form takes advantage of setting the stone in a crown
protected by the flanking pannels, a canvas for rich tapistries of traditional
celtic art. Gotta run, much to do... ...and, "Yes dude, it is indeed yellow
gold"... {grin}... Lighting and shadows can mute some effects and colors,
but no problem shooting this over fer ya I guess... There you are :)
Now we see a wide array of very cool things!!!!!!
_
OK, so we review some cool things today. The platinum solitare is rocking,
bold and substantial. The floral master is done for the Wallace camp.
Matching rings in the celtic flavor times two for the Rader crew, a complex
and very interesting tapestry indeed. For the Asscher cut diamond a rich
celtic home, the six trailing ends will become the prongs to hold the
stone, and the ring thickens slightly at the top for the stone to set
in the ring, not stuck on it... This is the rough master for that proccess...
Pendant designed by Court is also done, burnished and sleek it's ready
to rumble... Tis Friday, a nice weekend, hot and sunny... Motorcycle heaven,
and so watch for more today...
Now we see a wide array of very cool things!!!!!!
Three stone rings are wonderful, and this is one of the coolest of all
the designs of setting the stones, called the common prong. Clean and
neat the prongs stack neatly between the stones, making a nice line for
the eye. Hand engraving is shown on a most delightful classic form, with
a diamond in the side gallery. The ring wax is shown for the Ayers clannn...
Another sneakpeek at the engraving job??? OK!!! The waxes for the Brandon
earrings are done now, once set and hand engraved in the same flavor as
her ring the match will be sweet.
The Welch Dragon, matching classics!!!!!!!
The celtic process I use also does much more than band rings. Here is
a case where the theme of a past project inspired a totally new one, with
Welch Dragons on the side of the rings, with a diamond set between them
as shown, with a rich tapestry of celtic knottwork weaves down the tapering
shank. The basic celtic design for the patterned center, which frames
the client's stones, integrating them into the design. I get a chance
to show off some creativity and love projects like this... Enjoy the preview!!!
Yer looking at real projects for real people around the world, built by master craftsman, directly. We love custom, and you will find here that it is both affordable and effective as well. Our Ring FAQ will answer most questions about general questions. Here's how to request an estimate link. Order terms & policies are on-line too. Thirty years of working for the trade uniquely qualify us to create your next family heirloom... We've won many awards... ...but my client referrals are my greatest treasures...and I .earn them right here!!! *Waxes are "always" carved to about 110% of the finished desired result, so in casting, filing and finishing we hit the target on the "nosey"... To do otherwise is to limit the success of the job, wanted you to know that this is "critical" to the best result. We work elegantly in platinum and gold, hand engraved or smooth and sleek... "Your way"... Ray Elsey Some very special projects!!!
Dan Devlin fancies a very cool family crest design, I will add rails in the master stage for a slighty raised and rounded feed, and mold it so we can cast it one piece and avoid the seams and that, so that I am set to do as a priority, guaranteed, tell me ya dig what ya see and we fly to finished with class and style. The trisket celtic rings, the cathedral blank ready to mold, the platinum matched strong knott design, the sapphire shimmering, the ring for Medina set and ready to get the woman of the house hopping and smiling... Gotta rock folks, tis a bright sunny day, a big twin motorcycle outside is calling.... Blaster ring for the Panarese household, a family heirloom with an amazing sapphire flanked by marvelous diamonds... Set low, protecting the stones and for easy wearing, a great example of engineering in precious metals. Nest fer Robert I show a great tsavorite, perfect for the project, with a wonderful strong coloration... You like... Danny McKearan lives just outside Amsterdam, and indeed he has honored me in letting me traanslate this design for him. Great lines, and the stage is set for a great ring, with a very long ride home from Portland Oregon... {grin}... ...but distance falls away, and the web makes all possible. Update, butterbaugh antiqued :) Got into this crazy business because of the beauty I saw, and wanted to be able to do. The selection of today's projects I had to stay late for, I wanted both to finish these and to show an old friend Dru what I do, or rather did today. Dramatic, creative and fun translating ideas into the world in precious metals... Tonight I let the pictures speak loudly, and I ride my motorcycle home with a smile knowing an old friend is OK and three marvelous rings which were but dreams are now functional art... Does it get better Dru??? Call me old friend, many times :) Shown is a Rhodalite garnet, as well as a very dreamy sapphire. Bats to you!!!!! Great design for the wedding rings, really came out sweet. The multiple knottwork band ring without borders is powerfully cool, and the swirl design is too. The wax done over to pull in the side stones, gauge and a full bezel is a natural. The matched emerald cut diamonds radiate, the wax is perfect for them. Gotta go fer now... Complex sides, a very elaborate undergallery that forms a very comfortable exact circle, with diamonds set on the outer shoulders and in the gallery this will be a stunning exacting ring indeed. This is the master stage, I assemble by hand each and every project for greatest effect... Enjoy! Tis also possible to image the outside of the ring as well as the "INSIDE" too, and here we use a celtic font for a name, trailing into a rich celtic knottwork inside the ring... Takes inside engraving to new possibilities, yes? {grin}... The drawing fer the Satchwell crew is very cool, white center with framing yellow rails, and stylized glyphs representitive of initials. Very cool to give wings to ideas, soaring into the world with class and style. Dragons in a natural ring are shown, and a very cool finished ring matching the ladies ring. Gotta go campers, but yer idea is a phone call and email away ya know, so be inspired here, which is the point of remarkable personalized jewelry in the first place. In the flavor of a gent's signet ring, the dramatic family crest ring with the top a powerful and dramatic Wolf against the moon backdrop. The flavor and the ballence here is wonderful as you can see, and will assure a marvelous result. The zoomorphic design I show for the Applebury clann is delightfully defined, and will make a powerfully cool platinum ring... Outstanding classic examples, in uncommonly versitle and practical application equals dreams coming true, with style and with class... ...any questions? Very cool wax shown, a natural leaves design, for a star sapphire, and a drawing. The drawing is an itteration of a certian young man's most amazingly cool drawing, rendered carefully for effect... Tom, I think that this will take that art to the ultimate, and most certianly make a most elegant family ring... Get back to me on the design soon as possible. Two shots Beth took Saturday of loose stones, easier to shoot them up to the web than try to email them... Got a second itteration of the "NGRU" clann ring, and it is as you can see a very controlled size and mass for those who prefer a smaller ring. The scale is shown against one thin dime, not included {grin}... Now, think heart shaped accent stones in a warm golden rich hue, set in yellow gold with a crown perfect for their existing marquise diamond, to be set locally. Now, the crown's prongs are much longer than when finished so don't freak out, this is the size fer yer stone... I guarantee you that when the center is set nice and low, and the ring is done, this will stand as one of the most creative celtic itterations yet... Very nice, very... Using some old family stones, some straight bagguettes, a few tapers, we construct a very cool home, and a great look for them... While some of the bagguettes were slightly chipped, the over all look is outstanding cool, platinum and nicely substantial... A drawing for the Anserson crew. Flush set diamonds in the side of a nice plush comfort-fit band, and a very cool and crisp ladies diamond band ring, gentle taper and most elegant. The client who had hoped to find a wonderous home fer her tourmalines will be delighted to see is shot, and the Demerist clann will be jumping fer joy when ya see this... Hey Teacher!!!! Check out this class act, the oval sapphire sets glowing with radiance, framed by wonderfully matched side stones, soon to be a treasured heirloom, the teacher's pet!!! Platinum necklacce, using both the photoetch process and hand sculpting a wonderfully interesting and natural look is had. The flowers are matte finished and bars bright, for a wonderful contrast. A celtic cathedral is shown, emerald center and strong powerfully cool zoomorphic design. Three tourmalines given to her, in a very cool celtic theme ring. Note how the rails come up and will be the bearing surfaces holding the stones? Good stuff huh? And the for Dougherty clann it is about a celtic design ring based on a tattoo, with a sapphire center where the design swirls up and around it, two side stones Fer Steve it is about an annivesary and a very special gift, one that is in the theme of the engagement ring, which I set and engraved lonng ago. Form fitted celtic wedding band is delightful indeed, note the simulated ìchalas" anchoring the design in the center, for a very cool look. Ruby and Rose Gold, sure why not?!? Great looking ring and super solid and super sleek. Great look and a most excellent ring you can wear daily with no problem... Corey has a cool two ring set going, the center of the ladies will have an opal set into the pattern. Great stuff here... Hey Stephanie, here is the master fer that ring of yers, what a wonderful design you drew!!!!! Fer Larry there is a wonderful silver celtic ring, based on triskets, shipped yesterday. The master for the Medina crew will sport a most elaborate side, I have laid out the stone placement and beadwork based on european pave' flavor, soon handset the row on the shoulders and a millgrain treatement will sync the look as elegant. The constructed crown I left the webbing in the base for molding, cut will pierce that upon casting. Note the cross strap in the crown will be set with three small diamonds, and a most elegant vision will be realized. Stephanie drew a rather amazing cool idea (top element in the big shot) and I refined the idea to a sharp edge, two versions... Made a non-taper version and a slightly tapering version too. I like the way the taper makes perfect sense in a perspective sense, so I show both, you decide the final version {grin}... Drawings times two, and here we go. First is fer George, the stone shown a star sapphire that is 6mm x 4mm. The shank width is about 3mm past the decorations on either, with two prongs and the leaves bent up into bearing surfaces, in essence prongs. Hot ideas, pick on and let's rock and roll... Fer Amy the path was fairly easy to see, based on a theme and idea I did before. Shown is the "Ivy Design" from my library, and this is accented with three of Amy's tourmaline 3.5mm squares from her friend... Nice idea here, the rails will build up as they pass the stones, holding them... Strike up the band fer Souza, the two tone ring is done! The center stone in this ribbed ring looks as natural as can be, a very ballenced and elegant ring indeed. The master for the Zach crew is about ready for molding, the sides white gold, the antique floating heart patterned center yellow gold, and the white trillion settings applied for a wonderful look. Gotta go :) The Woitte clann has a blaster fine set of white gold celtics, crisp and gleeming 18Kt white gold richly ornimented with a strong cceltic knott design. Posterchild for custom celtics, this picture :) Der Konicoff emerald cut ring is also ready to rock and roll, gleeming and solidly substantial. Important for this style of setting required absolutely that the center does not flex... Der pendant fer Guillaume looks great, the multilink shain too. Complex celtic triskets form the Monaghen ring, three diamond are woven into the design... Stunning to put it mildly... Trillions are a wonderful shape, but what to put it in??? {Grin}... Pave' follows the lines of the ring in a smooth almost archetectural way. I am sure I clobbered the spelling of that, so note the way the ring moves, the light plays off this one like liquid... Gotta go fer now, many projects to cut out, one at a time by hand, but that is the way of personalized wonderous things... They are seldome spit off assembly lines... later... For Matt it is about a design that he drew long ago for a tattoo and incorporating it into wedding bands. Here I show the design laid out for width and for finger size and it works very nicely. This evolved over three itterations to a blaster cool effect... I do want to say that the small round sapphires are a great idea, but the fact is the other space is just not going to lend to placing a stone there and having it look crisp. Take a peek, and let me know what ya think. The Zach clann has a wonderful drawing of a two tone customized wedding set, and here is the work up where the design is refined to work with finger size and stone sizes... So, Paul Bromwell has a cool drawing to see, the citrines are designed to mesh into the design, converted to a taper, and all is shown to scale with the parts, ,the marquise at 13.8mm long, the heartshapes to scale, and the simulated effect. you like??? Had the delightful opportunity to build an enchanted engagement ring for Tim Buckley, and now in the same theme I echo the elements over a cool band ring, to finger size, ready to rumble... {grin, damn I am good}... For a certian Nickell I know "the ring is in the mail", The Butterbaugh preview is sweet indeed, a celtic theme with a lattice crossover side. Pretty rough right now, gonna be taken apart, cast in both yellow and white and reassembled... {grin}... Here's yer top down shot, do remember this is but the wax phase, the width of the ring will finish down just right, take the wax down to exactly where ya want to see the ring, cast it and... ...it is less than you wanted, each step either removes metal or involves molten metal being cast and cooling. Word to the wise... :) Fer the Higman clann there is a cool baggette ring that is the third ring in the set, with the other two rings being celtic and previewed yesterday. For Moderna there is a massively cool wax to see, solid and substantial and most elegantly ribbed. Fer the Hirsch crew it is about emerald cut diamonds in a classic three stone ring... Hot hot hot!!!! The ring for Johnson is amazing cool, channelset baggettes and princesscuts that form a very full design indeed. The Weiber diamond earrings are ready to rumble and the last one is a ring that we have for sale, more on that later. The Thorsen ring is done, a rich tapestry of celtic knottwork, the twin rings for the Hickey's is shown, and a delightful set of masters for Peter Demarest, his own design by the way!!!!!! Most delightful radiant cut diamond is shown here today, color enhanced and massively beautiful and affordable as well... Earring diamond sizes to compare... Great color enhancced round diamond shown too!!!!
Today we have quite a few fun things to preview!!!!!
Victoria, tell yer man he has designed a wonderful effect!!!!!
Gaze into the future, the masters for some truly amazing projects!
Spiceweasel has a dream ring idea fer her man!
One has but to use their imagination to visulize this dramatic 10mm over all width ring in a shimmering warm yellow gold design center with framing white rails. I did the mockup for you to see how nicely slightly raised and rounded rails are, and to answer that question you asked, "Will this work?" as well as any question ever have I answered... I wanted to make sure that Ken, and all, see something that makes sense to show... This small preview takes you to a picture of a ring that Ken wants to make, a lovely flavor with a serious weakness. The way the stone is set, the very thin amount of metal below the stone, will fail over time. If this ring shown is sized it will crack right there, sure as Clinton will "NOT" be president again... (thank god)... This flavor is sweet, the look sound, but that area needs to be stronger, and flat across for strength... I never want to make something that does not work, for any7 reason, when we can adjust that thickness and make this ring better, and servicable... Enjoy the preview!!!
Some days are for building, by hand, looking forward!
In a rich tapestery of celtic theme knottwork framing a most elegant horse's head, matahing rings gallop into the future, the masters set and ready to mold. Twin most interesting celtic knottwork bands are also shown, note the crossover every other group? {Grin}... Triangle trinity knotts are woven into an elaborate tapestry, with three diamond's settings (prongs) designed in as part of the pattern. This ring will be, in a word, "Brilliant!"... Stand by, more coming :) Very cool emerald cut shown. I also show the Dingman masters, and is the width that is targeted I really do not think that adding an opal is a good idea, for that very small it would be very cluttered very fast there, and opal is very soft and would surely not survive long in a worn daily ring... Perhaps there is a themeatic opal pendant in her future? {Grin}... I'll do it yer way of course, but I suggest the design carries the show, and matches perfectly.
Tapering Ladies band and matching Gents!
A very cool wax is shown for Bob :) Wax mod?
Born of Fire and with Elvish inscriptions inside and out a remarkable ring is now ready to delight. Very nice detail and form with a comfort-fit profile make this ring most interesting indeed. You might say a very "Eye catching ring indeed"!! {Grin}...
A little bit ago I was asked about doing matching trinity knottwork rings, and damned if I did not miss-place the info, but I wanted to show here that the idea is quite sound, the center trillion replacing in a nice low bezel the center most knott... Strong and powerful, and way cool.
A very fun project for Ellen was an exercise in layout, the stones plotted and planned to make a full and rich looking side with detail and powerful millgraining to define edges. This is a blaster fine ring here, and I hope we indeed build ya one :) Enjoy the preview, and of course the weekend...
Me thinks that Jim and Company will be positively delighted!
A sleek and modern pendant wax is shown.
For ya see, it was a Gerber Daisy that was the underlaying theme that evolved into a unique platinum engagement ring and lovely earrings. Now the size of the earrings is just right, at 10mm and they are so nicely defined. The thought comes to mind that this is a perfect example of personalized heirlooms. The Dudas Clann has a trio of three rings, delightfully radiant and very classy indeed. This look is fa very fine one and with the nice bordered edges it makes perfect sense as a trio. Gotta go fer now...
More fun drawings, catching up, dreams coming true :)
Everyone has their own sense of what is important, and in custom jewelry that is the key. Here you see a wonderful functional classic celtic design powerfully defined, imaged and set for a legendary result. One at a time, by hand, right here, not in the third world. This is a glimpse into the future, that dream ring defined... {Grin} Enjoy! Now, Corey Dingman also has a powerfully cool project in the brainstorming phase, shown here in yellow gold, simulation with opal and without. Either way ya go, there you are {Grin}...
In the equestrian theme, with added celtic flavor!.
For the Hickey clann here is a blaster fantatic design, ready to go...
For the Monaghen clann it is a rick tapestry of celtic knottworl floating three diamonds in the center. I have designed a sizing area as well that blends into the overall design well, logical and practical and elegant.
James visulizes a Knight's Head Horse Head, in a stylized framing celtic knott flavor. I have the horses heads bursting thru the knott border to add drama and depth, the main framed by the loop in the backgroung I really like!!! THe gent's ring incorporates the same theme with an "Eternity Knott" like transition in the mirroring. This is a sweet and very regal design indeed!!!! For te Crocker clann it is about a rich celtic design framed with added rails, for that tailored and most elegant look.
Andrea!.
The next in the line of family crest tradition!.
Leverback earrings are very very cool, and here is a set that launched today. The very ornate 6mm width ring is patterned from a project I did long ago in a wedding ring and enngagement ring for a lady, and here is the 6mm width perfect gent's matching band in that precise flavor. Very cool sides and gallery and a rich celtic theme running the top. Thurstons can take a peek at the masters now, they are to finger size and width, reaady to rock your world... For the Budge clann another in the line of family rings is done, a coming of age symbol of the rich heritage of the family and love. Meaning is what custom is all about...
Two great rings I think the Kowalewicz clann will love!.
Taking the theme from a past project design and morphing it into form and function working with the client's three sapphires was not easy, the floral sides of the crown, the midieval design down the sides, and almost gothic shape. A delightful ring indeed...
From a client drawing into a working format, with finger sizes and widths addressed. A delightful pattern runs both sides of the rings, and upon closer look more fun awaits. Slightly rounded edges and comfort-fitted makes these rings work so nicely, and while these are the rough masters you can see where this one is going... Love creative projects.
Here's a couple of great ideas and future heirlooms!.
The sculptured wax, over three rings, flowing lines and a magnificient emerald cut diamond in platinum. A smashing fine radiant cut diamond is shown with trillions, for that dream project. Perfect start!
The triangle knott design is rather cool, and indeed with the background rhodium plated over a warm yellow gold ring would make for a very subtile and interesting look. I decided to make the master so that you could see the design better and how that works. The drawing for the Kowalewicz clan is very cool, showing two rings with the customer's design marching around the borders. Very cool idea :)
One of the coolest rings ever, for the Beltz crew... :).
For the Dunn's the wedding ring is done, and more... :).
Waxes and masters and finished, OH MY! :).
Pulling old stones to make something new? :).
Beth has a customer who had some old stones in old cufflinks that were pulled out to make something. I do not know what that something is but was asked to shoot a shot of the stones, so here it is. I think I heard mention of a cluster ring, and that is a good way to go with such a group, scattered over the design... Too much symmetry highlights the miss-matched stones... There ya are :)
Got a marvelous dream drawing for the Engles , and more :).
Got three wonderful rings for the Cooper Clann , and more :).
The horse theme ring is also done, with the oval center it looks marvelous indeed. Delightful yellow gold ring with channelset stones, Powerful celtic ring in the making times two, Got to run tonight but before I do I will do a fast pat down to make sure I am on track :)
_
Got a wonderful suprise for the Cullpeppers, and more :).
Well, what can ya say about a classic flavor and theme, except how fine it looks. The center stone is set in v-caps for both looks and security, the side stones are set with the bars and tucked up into the top nicely, the gallery and the look of the engagement ring is delightful, and the companion wedding ring sports princesscuts in a row, a blaze of white hot light. Now, fer Michael it was about a powerful celtic zoomorphic design on the outside, and a comfort-fit form that is sure to delight. The inside letters are deeply etched in, connected with a cool knottwork. Oh yeah, two nice emerald choices for that center diamond too!
_ Pat ter is not needed when the ideas and results are so wonderful, so I gotta go!
Thinner was a Stephen King movie, and a certian eternity ring :)..
Yeah Greg, a bit narrower is not a problem in the framing rails, so that I just did... I wanted to show a paper cut out that I did for a gentleman who fancies that he would like a ring with his company logo on it. ...and from that mold an unlimited number of "clones" can be made in the future, and doing it this way not only gives a crisp angular symmetry, crisp edge as well as lowers cost being in the original model/mold. ...neat huh? Logos and dramatic pictures can be painted in essence, for tremendous results. The breathtaking Mcallister ring is done, my classic celtic multi-knott design... The Wheaton Celtic Cathedral is rocking fine, a ballence and symmetry few rings attain. The long ladies rings lock together as tight as a clasp, with trillion sapphires floating beside a fine marquise diamond. The gent's ring is shown, weaving sapphires into the design, a rich and dramatic effect. Gotta go fer now, more to come, I am climbing on my motorcycle right now to go rumble down and get a plate... ...if I make it back look for more wonderous things very soon... :)
Sapphires and diamonds united, eternally...
One very cool ring finished for the Rountree clann. Drawing for Linahan, the water logo ring design, and a sweet fabricated solitaire bezel set ring.
Platinum eternity rings are very very cool indeed, and with diamonds and sapphires you get almost a cheerful candy cane like look, the platinum ultra-white background highlights both the vibrant sapphire color as well as the hard crisp dazzel of the diamonds... A wintery delightful ring which is sure to keep her smiling... Gotta love that huh Greg :) This one is delightfully down pat
_
Inspired by their drawing, a celtic trio custom set...
A marvelous emerald cut diamond is shown, a revised drawing for Amy, and a sweet finished earrings, of the princess flavor.
Now, here is a perfect example of what can happen when you dream bigger and deeper than the glass case at the strip mall jewelers.
First the engagement ring, the center is set for a lovely emerald cut emerald, the accent stones are diamonds from a sentimental old ring. The rich celtic design flows into the top, framing it and growing to both get three stones on the side as well as soften the depth of the center stone. The wedding ring is a complementary design, with added phrases and meaning. Gent's ring shown, expanding on the wedding ring/phrase theme, for a marvelous trio set of dreams come true. Reference the original art below and you can see the theme here is undimmed, and clarity is the key. Trust you local jeweler to sell you a gold plated zippo, but for custom bookmark this site right now! {grin}
A Diamond solitaire is a classic, eternal and a perfect way to display a fine diamond :). _
Now, when it comes time to decide what style mounting is best consider the eternal classic of the solitaire, which are all not made the same, Ours is a strong gauge metal and strong, as well as attractive... Might say that it gets the style down "PAT"... The Cullpepper waxes are ready to rumble now, and the master for the three sapphires is ready to show and mold... This will set up very nicely, has that strong medieval design and euro-hip shannk too... Wonderful form, and the diamonds in the flowers will be not a problem what so ever :)
An old ring is given new life :).
Here be some creative ideas, being born :).
Today is a catch up day for me :).
Three carat plus diamond shown, a great and wonderful look here, and the set of rings for the Amsterdam clan are done as well, as is the master for the "Gerber Daisy" earring, domed and delightful...
Here is a delightful project just brimming with meaning for Geoff, and we begin with a wonderful symbol of the egyptian flavor, with framing birds and bordered with rounded white framing rails. A very tailored look and I just had to show this in a natural finish, for it is a very subtile look with the design strong and defined upon closer look, at first glance a textural feeling. Super nice... Super nice marquise shown, a 0.66 carat with a fine look and perfect "D" color...
Prattle free Friday.
Got a great and wonderful weddingset with bagguettes tapering nicely, in a very classic form. THe emerald cut and the bagguettes sync together and at the end of the tapering small end there is a subtile "pinch" where the rounding starts. In a word, "Nice". Here be a matched pair of AGS 0.55ct D-VVS diamonds for the most discriminating buyer. The rebuild of the celtic ring and the loose three quarter carat emerald cut is the last in this series for now...
Prattle free Friday.

Yes, those really are green diamonds!!!.
For the celtic flavor the wedding set with the bezelset heartshape green diamond is amazing cool, and the way the top grows thicker as it comes to the bezel minimizes the stand off height of the bezel. Great rings, the fit is wonderful and the small green diamond will be set when it arrives. The culpepper wax is a cool one, top down it is a very conventional stone layout, but as you tip it over the crossovers kick in, and the euro-hips on the shank give it a nice counter-ballence. Great wax. Fer Peter we got yer belly button ring, and it came out great of course. Repeat offenders who are as much fun to work with as you I remember :) The Brown diamonds set in the platinum three stone wrapping formed bezels is outstanding as you see, so I go now and see what else I can get into :)
Now, what's up?..
Pearshaped diamond earrings are very cool indeed, and this princesscut crossover solitaire is outstanding nice as well. Gonna make it short today, let the pictures do the talking. Here is the bezel set ring for David Brown, just set... Next step is engraving, and we're scrambeling to have that done and ready at once... Stand by for cool.
Friday is generally a day where I try to delight..
Hal Greene has an amazing fine ring to see today, 18Kt gold and with a space theme this ring rocks. The stars are accented with small diamonds, and the comet is formed from a Citrine and rises blazing across the sky. The textured background counterpoints the blazing bright elements, bordered and crisp in a tailored body form. The Mills wax is done, looks very nice indeed. The Hal Greene finished ring has got to be an inspiration for the NGRU ring design that I worked out for you. Blazing crisp and delightfully sinister. I love this project... The Shorey earrings are shown too now, gotta steam them before sending Monday... A sweet yellow gold pair of earring is shown as well... GOtta go home and scare the kids {grin}
A Horse of a different color for sure..
When Dreams come true tis a fine thing indeed..
How does one start to explain a project like this? It started in the mind of Hal Greene, author and space struck, the design flowing naturally from his interests and life's work. Now, dreams do not have defined form, and so I went to work to clarify and translaate this vision with experience in the processes and expectations spanning three and a half decades and.... Stars dotting the night, soon to be dotted with diamonds, the citrine comet soon to be blazing across the other hemisphere... The top will be set with two diamonds, and antiqued to bring out the details and words after the stones are set... An amazing journey created this ring, and creating it was also an amazing journey of sorts as well, 18Kt white gold shown and soon finished to a treasure and work of art, for Hal, and because of Hal... Does custom get any better than that???
Dreams coming true is what it is about to me..
Some things just flat deserve to come alive, in precious metal..
A 1.26 Carat "E-VVS1" Hearts and Arrows Idealcut, and a solitaire for Beth...
Well, the shots of the hearts and arrows pattern is gonna have to do, ballencing that scope under the camera by hand gives me less than perfect results, but for perfect this diamond takes a backseat to none on earth. The cut is perfection indeed, and the combination of the color and clarity make this one in a million diamond here folks, the cut being the real frosting on the cake. The parts that combine to make the solitaire are shown raw, and from these parts can easily come a world class ring. Take a peek by clicking the little to see the big. During the evolution of a project for Doctor Wolf I came to draw what I thought was right down the center of a very creative way to feature Gerber Daisys in a design that is reminiscient of a ornate and detailed engagement ring design. We are going a different direction but this ring kept calling to me to bring it into the world, and so I did. As an exercise in cool, and to show how ballence, detailed and crisp this idea plays out. Gotta go, but had to do this one, for "ME"... {Grin}... I have dreams too remember... Also shown is an amazing celtic flavor wedding set for a large green diamond heartshape. The stone will be set into a bezel low, the rings grow in thickness as they come to the top, so the bezel can be fit into the ring and not look "stuck on", reducing the height above the ring. Crisp, fun, unique and personal. Is not that what custom is about? A pair of bronze matched diamonds are shown, the ring top for the coming ring is awesome in detail, the hinged ring has a hidden message inside, and the celtic swirls are outstanding cool as you can see. Horsing around with a customer's art of their horse I gallop down this path towards a flowing elegant design. Gotta go :) Truly great ring starts with inspired plans, PONDER that..
In the great fleamarket of life, and the static sameness of the malls, there is a ring the likes of which you will never find elsewhere, inspired by a previous project and refined to taste a custom celtic flavor pattern takes form, a penthouse home for five graduated fine marquise diamonds. The prongs are much longer than when set of course, this is the master which I will mold to make yer ring. The depth in the design is outstanding fine, the detail on the sides most excellent, and while there is always a slight decrease in detail in casting we start with an 11 on a scale of one to ten for both style points as well as structure. Ready to see that dream come true??? Also some blaster nice Tourmalines, and celtic masters for some very elegant swirl designs, which will have the center of each swirl dotted with a diamond, in both rings... Note the intelligent sizing space here that nicely syncs with the design? More later...
Some very cool things, colored diamonds and a world class drawing...
Now, a lovely design for an amazing fine engagement ring, the two sides are shown and the center, imagine it pinching together at the end v-cap, forming the start of the stone section. Planned for a 7 x 5mm radiant cut and twin side 5mm trillions this will be a blaster fine ring. The center fancy colored diamond is amazing, rich in color and hue, strongly uniformly colored and a "C7" for you collectors.for an amazing cool ring. and fer Robert two charms ready to rumble, with a rich celtic theme, and matching theme with their rings. Good stuff... Two very cool celtic projects came up late, showing here but prattle free...
Josh, yer ring is done, and more coming... :)
Debbie gets to "PONDER" a most interesting design indeed :)
Drawn for the cooper clan, the body of the rings over the three was drawn by Nicholle, and an amazing cool personal set of rings is born in theory...
For the Kellie clann I set the swirls down the center of two rings, imaged to finger size and width, with two choices for the gal. One with a 7mm width and five swirls, and another at six swirls and a 6mm width, so that the scale was the saame. yer choice :)
Now, we start with a very inspiring ring from the past galleries and take that basic flavor into a new place. Note that the claddaugh is planned so that the sides when joined form the design, the diamond section at the top with five marq uise diamonds graduating for a very slight subtile taper. The edges will be millgrained and the sides are richly ornimented as well, with the main swirl scroll design blending into the marquise section elegantly. Set to finger size and set to please, what do ya think??? {Grin}
Josh Brewer's ring is coming along amazingly fine, and here is a necklace and more as well :)
A Hinged band ring, which opens to reviel phrases and more!
Two grewt waxes to show as well...
Take an amazing green heartshape diamond and design a ring around it that incorporates the same theme as does the gent's, adding a natural theme of Ivy as well in a free form design. I drew this with a conventional crown since more would be distracting, that center stone and the design will carry the show nicely, guaranteed. I would make the top thickness grow a bit too, but stay with a band stle to keep the diamond nice and low to the hand... Take a peek and see what ya think Victoria... For the pendants for the sons I have taken the sketch and basically followed it to the smallest detail, creating a very cool pendant that is approximataely one inch in height, and that matches the theme of the wedding bands perfectly too... This what ya haad in mind Robert?
Now, here is a very cool project that basically has the two halves of the ring which have patterned phrases turned together, joined with a rivet so that they can swing open and closed. I have set the thickness at 2.5mm so that there is strength in the hidden rivet that allows the ring to open and close, and note that setting a small diamond into the design will not be a problem as long as it is set just below the surface so it does not prevent easy functional opening and closing. Dawn has a bold and exciting celtic coming her way, a cool three ring set with diamonds burnished into the side trim bands is cool... Weave diamonds into a richly woven celtic theme knottwork of closed classic knotts and you have a wonderful effect...
Diamonds!.... ....and more!!!
Blaster nice princesscutcut at 1.63 carats, to show just how nice this is enjoy the shots. The Green Heartshaped diamond measures right at 8mm across at the widest. The emerald cut diamond is at 1.52 carats, and is indeed a wonderful shape, as you can see here. GIA certificate as well, and ready to go. The tracy wax is shown matching up nicely against the engagement ring. The channelset row wax shown is rocking nicely along as you can see, and a cut out of a mockup design I am working on just to show how cool this idea will be {Grin}... Your LOGO transformed into a blaster nice ring, and a mold that will last for decades... You can make any number from this mold easily. Enjoy the ideas, previews and sparkelies...
Dramatic Patterned band with massively fine diamonds!....
Weaving their children's names into a rich celtic tapestry, a unique and very meaningful way to symbolize unity and family.
Drawing complex ideas and turning them into functional fine jewelry is interesting, and never more fun than when there is such a dramatic art resource to work from. A custom ring that is bold and unique is born, with detail and taking the theme from the logo... Great fun this one is, I cannot wait to see these five rings!!!! Stand by for a cut out paper preview too, this one is engineered to work wonderfully well...
Now, starting with a magnificient two carat diamond we set about finding the dream, a stylized platinum bezel that formed the thin frame for the center and framing one carat size diamonds, set in a textured body of 18Kt yellow gold, richly detailed and textured, framed by platinum rails that complete the look.. The way the top grows to mask the depth of the stones, and settle them into the design, rather than stuck on it. In a world of people who talk for a living it is nice to make great things happen, in precious metal and creative ideas like this one! The princesscut diamond solitaire is super nice, and ready to rumble too! Enjoy out there :)
Celtics, Opals, and more....
No time for prattle tonight, I am on my own time {Grin} The Horan job is set and so that tomorrow will be shown, the other projects here today are super nice, the opal celtic ring is outstanding fine... That is all for tonight, nothing left..
Dreams can come true, as you can see....
Fer Victoria there is a dramatic natural green diamond heartshape stone here to drool over, a natural beauty as you can see. There is also a radiant cut diamond with two different sizes of trillions, which give you a visual scale difference that you can select from, the ballence of center to side stones for that ring idea... Brilliant gold celtic rings for the Walsh clann, and a stunning creative set designed over three rings. Lovely diamond set low, dragons on the side holding rubies, knottwork winding down a tapering form. Most excellent result, wonderfully creative project indeed!
Now, for Doctor Wolf it was aabout the Gerber Daisy and incorporating a feel like the ring shown... Well, here you have to use your imagination, and there by see how the sides have a lattice of leaf forms winding up in a flowerbox of daisys, lattice suggested above. The upper plane bordered with a millgrained edge will border a magnificient Gerber Daisy with a suggestion of lattice wooden slats above, for a nataural wonder, just what the doctor ordered you might say, but of course I never would {Grinning widey now}... There was a suggestion of earrings as well, so I thought... "Now what would be more natural than a sweet Daisy, slighty domed, post in back, dangle for any size or shape diamond on a hidden clasp that catched a jumpring, so it swings... Kicks ass actually as a style counterpoint to the ring... You like???
Drawing here to clarify the gent's ring, a most elegant design....
Dreams in process, check these out....
For Diana I have the twin masters for some amazing cool wedding rings, and we will be setting small stones in the center of the square knott pattern, so as to accent and not overpower. To finger size, ready to rumble. In the next design the swirl design is now modified with a "Ying/Yan" symbol where the curl was, to finger size, slightly comfort-fitted and rocking fine. The next band is interesting, with the mission to use a specific celtic font I decided that imaging both the inside and outside was possible, and would give a nice bold gent's ring, size 11, with both detail inside and out. Strongly comfort-fitted, and very cool indeed. For the Walsh clann the mission was to make matching wedding bands to match up with her existing celtic cathedral I made a while back... Completes the set it does, and do note that there is no descernable sizing space, yet a small area suitable for future adjustments... Gotta go fer now, but enjoy the previews :)
Celtic art translated into wedding bands, times two....
A delightful design that winds and weaves across both rings, echoing the timeless traditional art of the celtic form. The wonderful detail and design combine to make outstanding examples of unique wedding bands, hand made one at a time... Enjoy!!!! In the Biker lifestyle theme I designed a nice gent's ring, with the rich celtic knottwork on the sides and an Iron Cross form on top. Bold and powerful, just like loud pipes on a radical twin motorcycle... Built for fun, built to wear and enjoy daily... A sweet ring is shown with Turquoise inlay, channelset diamonds and a nice low rider form, a ring to wear and enjoy daily!!
Fer Josh it is about a ornate exciting design, his way... ...and more :).
When someone takes the time to draw carefully their dream design I translate that into a working functional design, to finger size, to width and like to offer what I call a simulation as well to help "see" the idea come to life. Shown flatter here than reality will yield, when formed into a more rounded look, comfort-fitted and more. The stones shown seemed to fit the design best in size, the center stone about 4.5mm, the side framing stones at about 2.5mm for the design. Altered the design can be made to work with about any size stones, but this keeps the design strong and un-altered. *And a master ready to mold to make that one of a kind treasure...
As you can see here the sides of this ring are the thing, the design engine that drives the project. I imaged the sides for placement of the small diamonds, and to the finger size as well, and also for the size center too. Now, the center right now is a spacer that I made to separate the sides fer you to see, the plate would be a bit higher in the actual but I wanted to show you the progress thus far. The center two rows of diamonds are pave' set into the metal, and the trailing engraving I will do by hand as well... What ya think :) Promised a drawing for Diana yesterday, but had to do that today instead. Kicking cool design, accented with small diamonds, and a great look here, to finger size, to width... The center is also wider than will be the final, but one thing at a time here, and the sides are perfection... Am I good or what :)
Fer Paul there is a magnificient diamond ring ready to rock yer world.
So, when it came time for that really impressive and very very fine two and a half carat plus diamond I went to work. In the world there is hardly a more impressive look than a single fine diamond well set in a classy solitaire, and that is what you see right here, a ring to take her breath away and a most impressively fine diamond indeed. Well Paul, pleasure working with you to get this right, and I think you will be quite thrilled with the reaction you will surely see when presenting this ring... Enjoy!!!! Now. gotta show ya the Lyon's engraved ring done, and also a sweet sculptural wax carving and setting for a ring of diamonds, and a floating ruby center... Low, sleek and crisp, a very cool way to use the old stones, different sized and blend into a powerful cool ring...
A powerful Celtic Ring, Platinum and 18Kt gold... ..and more :)
Starting with the amazing fine two carat round diamond center we form a platinum setting "Figure 8" like partial bezel that winds down to the lower framing one carat size diamonds, resting on a warm 18Kt yellow gold body with a classic design from my medieval collection. Framed with platinum rails and wonderfully crisp tis a joy to see... A very classy floral design from my floral collection has been rendered into a dramatic and fine wedding ring, with a natural flowing design. I think you can see the detail here, and appreciate the dramatic effect nicely... Drawing coming tomorrow for two projects, and more later :) Greg is shown a delightfully ornate dragon sided gent's ring with a 1/3 carat diamond in a platinum bezel in the top. Powerfully defined and a joy to make for Greg...
Hammer Time, and more {Grin}....
Sooo, we have a sweet wedding ring here with diamonds set across the top, melting into a rich celtic knott design as it tapers to the back of the ring. The sides are designed richly appointed as well, a matching ring to the engagement ring built in the past... Classic gallery and a knott circle... The emerald cut diamond is a great one, the color is wonderful at "D" but see how bright it is too? Nice!!!!
Howdy Jeff, and here is that Swirl design, and why I do this too..
Well, for example. Here is a sweet drawing of an 18Kt white gold ring, natural finish simulated, and note that I take the design around to a very logical "Hour-glass" like place where the ring can be sized later if needed without cutting the design. Logical and practical, and yet elegant aand timeless with that swirl design powerfully defined in a subtile natural matte background finish... See, I make these one at a time for the best result, which is why I re-image this today fer Jeff... Tis about a minimal sizing port, the best look and most powerful result, not mass production and that... Custom is one at a kind, to taste and just right, logically that was always the mission... The opal recut to make a most elegant celtic cathedral, and a master for a brilliant floral design, see that detail and fine lines??? Amaazing cool...
Also shown are two bands, claddaugh based with celtic knottwork and ruby hearts... I rejected the engagement ring casting, which will be recast and finished very soon, but I wanted to show ya the bands today :)
How custom celtic dream rings come together..
Twin bronze diamonds shot again top down... hey, just buy both then ya don't have to decide... {grin}
Golden Asian Dragons are stirring today..
Here is a drawing of a very detailed ring side, the center stone is a diamond, idealcut at 5.7mm diameter, flanked by 4mm trillion sapphires... The way this works is that the ring sides pinch together forming the end trillion v-cap, for a very nice look. The lines bordering the design will be millgrained, as well the upper strap under the stones, for a fully involved look. I will cut a wheat pattern for the upper plane, millgrained and tying in the design.... The stylized "LOVE" is from Darren's art, for that special touch... Enjoy dude!!!! {grin}... OK Josh, here is the side ring drawing for which will render the coolest of engagement rings. Set at the finger size, set at the center size, and accented with clean rows of very small diamonds, for a stunning look. Now, a simulation, OK the art and we build that dream... {grin}... For the celtic ring with the Two carat center framed by matched carat sizes, the top wax... Wax is carved full and as a single piece, matching the curve, and providing metal to set the stones, center very slightly raised... Platinum sides, rich yeloow gold center pattern... A tight celtic trisket design, accented with ten sapphires of 1.5mm, for a cool timeless look... The Hudsom medieval lion ring is done, inside engraved and rocking...
Golden Asian Dragons are stirring today..
A most delightful project indeed, a bold gents ring which will have a 1/3 carat diamond set into a platinum bezel installed, and a light antique finish to bring out the powerful details in this design. The art was supplied by Greg, who has a client who has always dreamed out this ring, and this design. For short runs and one of a kinds I do enjoy taking the idea and refining it to the point that it is cutting edge, and for a result as you see here... Not much longer Greg...
Recut Opal and more...
The opal has been recut to shape and now we can start designing the rings around it... Great stone, very nice color and a wonderful start. The 18Kt yellow gold celtic is powerfully defined, for a great look... The necklace I just designed based on the engagement ring I just made, and we have a great look here, the center piece is two inches tall, for a bold and strong look... One of the more difficult rings to produce is the pierced rings that are based on re-drilling and chasing each and ever hole that pierces the ring... Not an easy job there, but a great look...
Low and sleek, soon to be inlaid...
Now, the body of the ring is channelset with diamonds and has a delightful form, taken directly from some very fine working drawing submitted. The inlay is going to happen next, with the stones set and ready to go. The way the center stone sets nice and low and sleek makes it part of the design, flowing and a most wearable ring indeed. I gotta go, hard today today, mind wandering... ...tomorrow is a new day...
How about the dramatically colored diamonds????
Beth wanted me to shoot this group of diamonds for a collector customer, and while we do not make a big deal of it we have access to the most remarkable gems indeed... If you have dreamed of a dramatically colored diamond drop us a line, that dream will come true, vividly...
Now we also show here a rockin' nice plump solitaire, with an emerald cut fine diamond. Note the comfort-fit shown and the nice rounded edge for comfort? Yet it follows the lines of the emerald cut so well... What to say about the Souza ring, bold and beautiful with curving symmetrical channels and a magnificent center, for an amazing look. Closed sides at the ends of the rows, clean and crisp. Dragons innertwined, facing shimmering blue gems... Silver is a great metal for celtic rings... Gotta go, more in a moment. Just added the Garrett Celtics, bold strong powerfully fine knotts, times duex...
OK, here is a blaster fine pierced wax, diamonds, ruby, killer!!! ...and more!!!.
Each project finds it's own way, and the process here is one of sculpture and art, where the body is formed into an amazing fine design, hand piercced and as unique as it gets. You can start to see the flavor here in this design, the classic gallery of the finest most elegant look. yes indeed a blaster ring in the making... The next shot is one I pondered... I wanted to show the parts that I am forming at this time for one of the most spectacular projects yet, a two carat center with framing one carat fine diamonds, platinum sides, and top, warm yellow for the body and design... This ring will be most amazing, and I should have parts formed very soon to shape and size, the top is to be slightly narrowed and a great ring is born...
The timeless Celtic Art wedding bands are most elegant indeed.
The herons are innner-woven into a rich tapestry of celtic traditional art, with a bordered edge this ring is delightful and you can see the nicely comfor-fitted nature of the ring too, for a wearable and elegant statement. Silver is the metal aand the Hounds are the theme, with the celtic art being predominatly of natural flavor and theme. The woven lines and nature of the knottwork makes for a full and ruch design, and wonderful result. I think I shot the platinum ring yesterday, but liked it so much I wanted to do another series to show the natural finish, with the matte background and the light satin design, with blazing bright border, a great look in nplatinum!
Pop Quiz! What's whiter than white, and celtic in flavor???.
This is a delightful design, from the book of Saint Mulling, and the rich tapestry of the woven elements of the three hounds is rather amazing. I find that the celtic art form is both natural as well as very detailed and ornate, the bright borders here in platinum contrast against the very light satin finish on nthe design, with a matte finish behind the design for yet another layer of interest and contrasting texture. Some think the antique is needed to see the design, but a more subtile and just as intersting result is possible with a completely natural finish like this... Gotta love this one!!!!! :) AAahhhh platinum, the "real white metal"... Yum yum!!!!!
Many things to see today, and little prattle time!!! :) .
Souza has a reason to march around today!!!! :) .
The diamond were in a narrower ring, and the mission was to close the sides and make a sleek and bold ring for the stones. What you see here is interesting for sure, four rows of graduated sizes channelset in a bold and powerful design. This project shows the quite broad nature of the photoetch process that I use, mostly for celtic bands and things like that, for in this case I built this proto-type from sections imaged. For layout and crisp symmetry it is hard to beat the 2450 dots per inch for layout and design... Anyway, technical crap aside, Moderna, check out yer new blaster fine ring!!!
The Eye or Horus, and now a powerful ring indeed, and more!!!!..
A very powerful symbol in ancient Egypt and a delightful design for the side of the gent's ring for the large center stone he had cut long ago. The idea was a powerfully fine one, and the symbol on the side is "Joseph"... The finger size here is 13 1/2, and it was fun to design a ring which brought such powerful images to the table here... Gotta go, many things to set and finish today!!! Got the center set into the very ornate millgrained ring, got the center set in the 18Kt swoop curve ring, The ring with the compound curve center is sweet, the stones in the side, down the center of the top and the stylized center crown are amazing cool... Gotta go fer tonight, someone stole my motorcycle and I must go home and pout... Grrrrrr....
See...
"For the Morgan Clann something special??..."
With the engagement ring center at the half carat size we framed that with elegant celtic knott work that tapers gently down the slightly raised form, which gives us the sides to orniment as a canvas. Dragons grace the sides, and inner-twine at the bottom. The matching bands are sooo cool, with heartshaped centers set in very low bezels which are built into the design. The gents center at 3.5mm and the ladies at 3mm, with her band tapering for effect against the engagement ring. the center diamond in the engagement ring can be set flush for effect and to integrate that into the design flawlessly... These are the masters which will be molded to make a most amazing set... Also a master for a channelset ring with a very cool stylized crown, princesscut center, channelset sides, graduated rounds in the over the side areas. Blaster effect! Twin celtics too... ...and of course a most amazine setting project, design project, wonder project. Carol, here is the body set, not yet detailed and steam cleawned but you can see where this is going now {Grin}
"What!!!!???..."
Like one at a time, dreams working towards completion. Got a sweet celtic knott design which I did that will later incorporate stones set in the center area, and a wonderful white ring for the peawrshape ameythist, with style and grace. Heart shapes on the side, flanking the princesscut center, with crossover side elements and a very interesting top down shot that does not give away the suprise when viewed at an angle... Cool stuff, gotta go...
"What might Tuesday bring???..."
"Triple Hounds design from the book of Saint Mulling"... ...and more...
Celtic art is vast, and detailed. The fact is that the book of Kells is a huge compendium for stylized art, and the natural flow of the designs and patterns is awesome indeed. Alas, the designs pre-date written history, so rather than prattle based on marketing, or inventing the meanings for marketing's sake, I'd rather show you the designs, lovely woven symbolized art form and let you find the meaning in your heart. Celtic designs are of natural themes, natural elements woven into amazing woven over under lines for form visual tapestries... The next shot is the master for Catherine, where I have designed a wonderful customer inspired "cat's and dog" theme, for the large Ameythist heartshape, which is about 9mm at 6.5mm deep. Note I have thickened the top slightly to allow a lower visual look, as the stone nestles into the 3mm thich top to minimize the visual height of the bezel and stone finished. Fun to work with client ideas and visions and craft them into working form, technically possible to both build and enjoy wearing. Much easier to sell gold plated zippos, and safer too, but what fun would that be? Creativity is the fuel that drives me forward, and so I invite you to share your vision with me, and to entertain building your dream too... Enjoy! Just added a powerful Medieval Lions design here, redrawn for maximum powerful impression, and a sweet celtic knott design forthe Garrett clann...
"Elegant Celtic Medieval Dragons decorate the side of this ring"...
Thar be dragons here!!!!! After many requests for a strong Dragon side for the composite rings I set down today and drew this dragon motiff. Now, some of the past design projects where the sides were strongly decorated tended to be a bit full and so I wanted to redraw this to accomidate an easy wearing ring, The sides of the ring are very richly decorated, with a jewel between the dragons. Note how there is the hint of a european shank with hips, as the ring is designed to minimize thickness between the fingers for comfort. As I join the sides of the ring with the top that is designed with a rich celtic knott design that matches the band rings, the center is a half carat size diamond, and the stage is set for a blaster fine ring, with a truely unique and tastey flavor... Be sure and hit the big link and see the sides of this ring, the Dragons are very well defined and will be most excellent indeed... Enjoy the preview!!!!!!!!! AN ALTERNATIVE SIDE DESIGN OFFERED TOO!
Sharp ideal cut 1.39 carat shown too...
"Powerful finished celtic ring, and a delightful wedding ring with princesscuts...
A great celtic design with a nice wide area that lets the design become powerfully defined, the background lowered and the wonderful look of a world class ring. in the range of about 10mm the most elaborate and detailed designs are possible... The ring with princesscuts, channelset and crisply a companion ring to the engagement ring... there ya go for now...
"The Eye or Horus, from Egyptian antiquity.." ...and more...
"More groovey things to see here today, of course..."
Here's to really cool and elegant items, both a "Hal of a good idea!"
For Hal it is all about the art that symbolizes his work. The ring is very cool, the planet is banked and rounded, the lines will be pulled down in the finished ring. The way the rings work is most elegant, they lower and vanish behind the planet so nicely, and the natural curve around the rounded surface enhances that effect. The other side sports a comet element, soon to have a stone set. The stars are small diamond accents, and the top is rounded with two more settings for small accent diamonds. Also shown is a medical ID bracelet that I just designed fer Hal as well, based in the same theme this will sync with the flavor of the ring, for a most interesting and unique combination... Gotta run, but wanted to spend Saturday getting this into form fer ya, both items... Later dude...
For the Dragon sided Ruby ring I re-designed the profile :)
Visulize the perfect gent's ring body form, for that class ring like look and detail that is dramatic and fine. For those of you who have had local engravers scratch on the surface and hack up something trying to make a nice design check this out... Made this for Greg Harris, and gotta say that this one brought out the best in me, and a new format you will begin to see for exciting gent's rings of wide and diverse flavors. {grin}>..
Now, of note... :) The theme here is delightful, with dragons on the side framing the center slot, where a basket crown will be fitted in very very low, celtic trisket knotts floating and tapering to the back. Measured at the three and nine position on the clock that area will effectively measure at about 2mm, or just under... As another feature I also put a very subtile taper to the top trisket knotts as well, which will reduce the width in the back as it tapers down. The "framing borders" will be reduced to a degree as I assemble and fit the sections, building this as I go from this rendering. I also lowered the top just a touch, and I'll make special attention to controling weight in the master... You like??? {grin}
Oh yeah, and if ya like plush super nice "C-bezels" we do those too, and here is the 18Kt gold one that we just finished today!!!
A magnificient detailed design, ready to mold and make, and more :)
Now, here is the test for Horan with the design that hints of the floating hearts, to scale with the areas shown where the stones go, I shall slightly thicken inside the ring at the top smoothly so the stones do not have to set so high above the surface. Good plans make great rings...
Test run of the gent's ring form, which works smashingly and gives a canvas for richly appointed gent's rings, of any theme and flavor. This is just a test body, but the premise and form is perfection...
Very nice princesscut solitaire shipped last night, as I was working on this, so I shot the snap, went back to work, and here is the result... The ring has a web work that will be millgrained, as will the bordering lines, as the small diamonds are set into the pre-imaged settings. The center slot will have a plate for the base of the crown, and the marquise is perfectly framed with a most interesting and complex design, for wonderful effect... On the tuned Pearhouse ring, note the rail is now a banked lowered surface, greatly reducing the outside edge. Inside I was able to bring the profile right up to the design, there by making it more powerful, also polished the tri-knott design on the top side too while there :) This form will be greatly easier wear, effectively dialing that right in to perfection...
A jewel of a celtic ring, and previews of things to come :).
Too late for prattle, but you can still see....
Hal wants to see a cool ID bracelet design, and so he shall! "REVISED!"
Hal, yer making me nutz :) OK dude, here is the ID bracelet design again but now with the letters raised within a lowered bounding box... This is actually a very good idea indeed, for the letters against the lowered dropped background will really stand out and be powerfully defined. The medical alert symbol will be super fine, with the elements framed in a lowered background circle, with red enamel shown in the background... Diamonds can studd the small star elements for stunning effect too... Half a link of the Cuban 12mm rounded link bracelet will laser weld to the ID plate, and integrate it into the bracelet.
For the Celtic Engagement ring, the perfect Wedding Ring!!... and more!!!
Waxes for seeing!..
Imagine, a celtic theme legendary engagement ring!..
Radiant cut at 2 carats and 8.5mm x 6.5mm and the matched trillions at 6,5mm tip to tip we start a journey in the celtic theme, for a timeless result. The master is to the left, working prototype ready to mold and make that dream come true...
For the celtic theme ring for magnificient diamonds, a massively fine radiant cut and twin matched trillions I have created a sweet celtic design, the center will be set about half way down the prongs, the side trillions banked and the fartherest prong away from the center becomes a v-dap as the sides pinch together there, the top echoes that pinch to unify the design. "THIS WILL BE AMAZING FINE!!!!'
Designing a custom pendant for very unusual stones!!.. Scott's Blaster fine Floral patterned band, and more!!..
Seven fine diamonds, all in a row!!!..
A platinum comfort-fit band is shown, a classic...
Platinum is such a crisp and cool metal for settings like this, the common prong holds the stone to each side and the very dense and strong nature of platinum here is perfect. The look is that of sheerly delightful full diamonds, the prongs being between the stones in essence soften the outside line of the ring too, and enhance that full diamond look. Great ring here!!! Now, tis easy to forget that the patterned bands can be anything you wish at all, including the names of the members of the family! The rich celtic font gives this is finne design look, framed with added rails... Dreams this nice deserve to come true, and it is a joy to engineer the symbols for the meaning that you out there bestow... One at a time, designed to be that one perfect ring for that individual... Certianly not mass marketing for sure, but would you have it any other way??? Sweet diamond that shipped today shown too. A ring sent out today with a princesscut too.
I cannot explain it if you just don't understand!!!..
A wax carving for Meredeth, and a sweet engraved band!!!..
A very sleek and very sculptural feel to this wax, and a very low riding common sense profile too. See, it is all too easy to make stupid jewelry which is a pain in the ass to wear, so here you see the "big look" without the clunkey feel. The split bezel lightens the feel, and the pinch in of the shank as it turns the side stones is most elegant, wait until the light plays across the polsihed metal like liquid sunshine. Now, a nicely shaped hand engraved band is next, the sides rolled over to narrow the top, where a wheat like design bordered with millgrain is framed over the sides by an echo of engraving, bordered next to the finger by a millgrain line. Thousands of individual cuts combine here for a very cool effect.
Elegant floral drawing simulation of a ring that might be, and in a 7mm width we will be seeing very nice detail and results... For you see, I designed the celticrings.com catalog many years ago, and this
TRI-2296 design I now evolve to an amazing clarity... I am a hamm, did I mention that??? {grin}
I shall comfort-fit bevel inside and regardless of if you want the small added diamonds or not it's shown both ways, and either way it is a winner design... I think yer gonna dig this Scott :)
To glimpse into the future, to see what might be!!!..
Simulated fer yer enjoyment, and the next ring is a request to make a "real" two tone ring, rather than a die stamped plated version. Plating wears off, period, so if yer looking fer a long time solution, or a wedding ring to wear forever plated "SUCKS" as a choice and option. Here I show a white overlay claddagh design, and a body band not yet shaped, comfort-fitted inside, and rounded for a more domed shape on the outside... Simulated to show the idea, the outer design, the overlay concept well... Enjoy the idea, this will work nicely, and we can use a comfort-fitted die struck band for a perfect body if ya want too :) yer way :O)
Starting the Holiday with a bang!!!!..
The Louie Clann's unique custom art transformed into reality, and more!!!!..
I love working with a drawing the client has labored over!!!!..
Let's start the week good and proper, shall we?..
To see how the three rings might work together for a stunning effect...
Now, a most interesting project looms here, imaged over three rings. We start with a center ring and center theoretical opal which is 10mm by 8mm and fine. That is set in a bezel that (seen from the side view) rides just below the edges of the framing design. The swirls design clips into the opal bezel, running out at the widest part at 8mm, tapering fast... You can see how the cathedral form drapes the design most elegantly over the shape. Now, to plan guard rings is to plan for the shape of the center opal ring, and take the lines off that... A chevron of celtic swirls meets the eye over the side rings, and where it joggs out for the opal I will build that section to just that... I show the design as both s strip view and simulated reality scratch and sniff...
Celtic rings in platinum to see, and some vivid pink...!!!
Celtic rings in platinum to see, and some vivid pink...!!!
Well {grin}... That there vivid pink wax is from the mold of the ring you dig, but as far asa the choice of the stones it sort of boils down to a slightly lighter version, and a bit darker version... The size is basically a wash... The lady of the McConnell clan will be sportin' a very cool platinum celtic swirl cathedral... Gonna take a bit of height off the crown though to lower the center a bit more, but wanted you to see this today! {grin}... ...and the Pifer Clan sports a crisp itteration of a classic celtic theme, also in platinum and rocking fine. So, more to go, but not right now...
Lot's of cool things...!!!
Terry has always wanted a Mark-V Diving Bell theme masculine ring !!!
Well, the question was posed to me if it would be possible to design a ring that is much the class ring style profile, and that is based on the Mark-V diving Helmet, which is from the early nineteen hundreds. Funny thing, I live in Portland Oregon and have long admired this very helmet at the Oregon Coast, in many shops and as displays. The gleeming heavy metal helmet looks to be from Juiles Vern novel, or antique outer space comic. I had to drop it all to do this one, and with an applied helmet that is domed this will be a masterpiece... The side pannels are very cool, the bubbles can be accented with small diamonds for effect if ya want, and the winding seaweed very nicely against the lowered background looks amazing cool...
Adding borders to a strong and fun design for the Avery Clan!!!!...
Always interesting when asked to draw a ring so well defined in a catalog, because since I use photoshop rather than a cad-cam program things are "simulated" and not always as helpful as you might think, where as wax carving is where finger size, stone sizes, and all things are rendered and reconciled. Fairly straight foward, shank, added yellow bezels, so let's get to building a nice straight one rather than drawing crooked ones {grin}... Rock on!!!!
Long ago I did this design for a client, and Robin took a fancy to this, but likes a more tailored and ballenced design with a bordered edge, so I made one... This design is very crisp and very defined, which is important for platinum. I have worked in the design and gotten the width to a nice 7.5mm, which does both justice to the design and the bordered edge, for if that becomes too thin it also becomes a sharp edge. Ballence is everything... Check this bad boy out!!!
Custom Ear Cuff from a photograph? Sure, I can do that!!!!...
Revised, the leg extended and raised slightly, the final form :) A most excellent and most creative project indeed...
Have an ear cuff that I am working on, translating an image to a working design, which I quite fancy is coming along very fine indeed!!!!! Check out the initial sketch and simulation :) Think yer gonna like that... I thought after we had talked about how that leg might more conform to the available desired shape, and made a second version with the leg more extended upward, and there by that should follow the shape of yer ear way fine... The hidden arm behind will actually be a tab to catch the opening in the center of yer ear, and there by the figure should ride wonderfully well, arm extended to the earring you will be wearing with the cuff... Coolness, creative, and a great idea... Did another work up of this design, with the shot of the ear behind to show an existing cuff, the new design, and how that relates... {grin}... Very cool idea there bub...
How does one define a creative exciting project?...
Well, when presented with the idea of a short haired car, a long haired cat, hourglass, pekinese and more I sort of pushed those ideas around and "POOF!"... We have a working design. Framing a yet as to be determined heartshape center, the ladies has diamonds in the rails (save for a small sizing area in the back) and the gents has slightly raised and rounded white gold rails as well. The designs mesh nicely, the gents without the small accent stones and the center stone, yet the shape suggested nicely... I suppose that a retailer would never ever consider a creative project like this content to sell gold plated zippos and canned factory rings and things.... No risk there, and very little to get excited about either. Welcome to my world, and yer dream come true! A second wax for the Crump crowd, with the oval turned up and down the finger.
An exercise in layout and design?...
Platinum celtic swirls echo the timeless art of the celts, ancient designs that were used for illuminated text and ornimentation. The most textural of all the designs, the swirls have a symmetry and a charm that is eternal. The platinum Medeieval design is also amazing, inspired by a wood carving in a residence in Nurenberg Germany, from the later gothic era. Charm and detail, relief and bordered by a nicely comforfitted edge for a tailored unique ring. No cookie cutter crap here folks {Grin}...
Sat fer about a week thinking here about the layout and the way the photoetch process let's me work at 2450 dpi, and while a natural for a traditional wax carving it also is a fact that this closed sided study in symmetry is a natural for the process. The channels curve uniformly, and are exacting in their demensions, the stones will transfer into the new body perfectly.. I opened up the channels, and center area, where a cross strap will run inside for the crown to set on, I will probably also close up the top gap slightly when fitting the crown. The flat sides where the channels end is perfection, and I will taper the back more in finishing, also comfor-fitting and detailing along the way... What ya think??? {grin}... Pictured against the original ring, you can see the lines here really work well, crisp and clean... Wanted to show you this form today...
A drawing fer beth's customer?...
A wonderfully "Zittle" ornate solitaire in platinum, and dreams soon to be...
For Louie it's about a custom design that is soooo cool, and more!!!
For Mcbride it is a ring that is crafted with a strong triangle knottweave design, Fer Louie I wanted to make sure that the same sapphires were used, and that there was nothing which changed when the bezel was installed, so I crafted that into the master. Crisp design here... The wax is a crossover design with sapphires in the sides and a oval diamond set across the ring. Great look here... Fer Andy there is a sweet Moonstone ring which is decorated elaborately on three sides, for a most unique and interesting ring...
Powerful Medieval Images and elements for the wedding ring, and one fer Danny, and another fer Robert!!!
Hey Robert!!!! Check this simulation out dude!!! We have yer sapphire simulated to size, and the celtic swirls carefully redrawn so that we have the most elegant and powerful resolution and detail. Stand by for an amazing fine ring man. This one will be amazing fine...
Fer Charley?? Now, the basic idea is taken from the TRI-2253, from the medieval designs collection, which are taken from wood carvings, architecture and religious object, which form a rich and profound tapestry of fine art and design. The time period here is about 1840, and so from an ancient design comes a truely unique modern wedding band design for platinum... Enjoy the preview, the image is set... Danny has been a watching tghe client previews, and when he saw that inner-locking trisket design I was working on that was the one fer him... Incorporating the very elaborate three knott style design for the bordering elements brought that wider and strong... I love to see great designs come to life as much as you guys do, and this one will be amazing with the yellow trim... Most excellent idea, simulated fer yer amusment {grin}... Here's a killer celtic swirls design for a elegant sapphire, gotta love that...
Der Gent's ring in the theme of the trisket knottwork??????.
Man o man, William drew the basic idea and from there I took the ball and ran this design home. The way the triskets work and inner-lock at the top is outstanding fine, and indeed so very fine that I wish I would have come up with this first!!! {Grin}... I think that what will make this blaster cool is to slightly thicken the top with an overlay that very slightly thickens the top... Great idea, take a peek and let me know what ya think??? Two more drawings more about that tomorrow...
The very very fine noble herb ring, and for my wife???.
Celtic Cathedrals with a Gent's Matching Band???.
Deep vibrant sapphires, dramatically rich.
Hal's most amazing fine space adventure ring.
Hal asked me to design a ring based on this design. An author, Hal wants to celebrate his idea, and from that mold can be made other copies for friends and associates. The planet stand out from the background, with textured bands and rings. The comet is such that when set the shock waves form will be most excellent indeed, the small islands are for the small diamond accents. I have to fill in below the applied crest, but I wanted you to see the progress, as this idea gains form and substance... You like??? UPDATE: As I made the changes to the ring design I also improved the stars, and background for dramatic depth. And a delightful design that is almost a perfect blend between a "Key Design" and "Knottwork" that winds around this continious pattern... Great idea, the ballence of background drop to design is great!
Dark sultry Ruby ring, with a touch of the serpentine Dragons! ...and more.
Now, I was asked to design a ring around a dark sultry ruby oval, with dragons on the sides and the Trisket theme knottwork for the outer plane. The sides join to the top to form the home for an amazing ring, the bottom of the ring allows sizing and service too! More the Medieval celtic dragons, with a trailing celtic knottwork design and decorations becomes a powerful and interesting ring. Since antique is not planned I went lighter on the background in the simulation, to show the natural background and beveling that the process imparts. Enjoy the simulation, the ring will be amazing fine... I thought about this last night, and this morning did a more vivid simulation of this project for fun, the ruby would be installed in a crown, riding nice and low to the design... Check that out!!!!
Delicate hand engraved bands, and more...
How narrow can ya go in a patterned wedding ring?!... ..and more.
Very good zoomorphic design here, framed with rails. The powerful celtic design so bordered takes on a very tailored feel, with rounded edges and a comfort-fit inside a very easy wear ring is born. Gent's will finish out just under 9mm, with the ladies right in the 6mm range, which I worked very very hard to keep this narrow... Rails take space that is subtracted from the usable space for the patter, but in this case it works great!
Bigger shot? You bet!
Now, for the wedding band for a patterened set consider this solution, this ring is at 3.5mm width and nicely defined in platinum, the reason is that the design comes all the way to the edge, which allows maximum definition. Rails or borders take up space, and in a narrow ring that can destroy the design by not allowing the needed width to make it work. This principle is valid for all designs, so if you like a narrow ring do not fret, just plan. As part of a set this is a most logical and practical solution to the matching band, a non-bordered richly patterned ring is the result.
Imagine, like an amazing center tower of a bridgework, with a stylized gallery... The crown is a style that was manufactured in the 30's and 40's by a company called Grant Bros. Three beads in the corners, breaking into a wonderful gothic gallery. The side marquise eyelets will be set, and tghe bead work suggestive and in the flavor of the top and beadwork there. Most tasteful, and refined. Damn good shots too I might add {Grin}...
Celtic rings are most elegant and timeless!...
There is a very small number of celtic treasures, masterworks of metal art, that are considered the finest of the fine, the most creative and the most representive of this art form, and the Ardagh Chalice is considered one of the most amazing and detailed. I was asked to look at other offerings based on this work of art but found them lacking and quite uninspired, so I made the best one you'll ever see, faithfully based on the elements of the original. For a timeless treasure, and very impressive inspired set of rings I think this design is perfect. Note that the "Shields" were cut out, domed and hand applied for a slightly raised and more demensional result, the knottwork is powerfully defined, Ladies ring will finish out at about 6 3/4mm, the gents at about 8 1/2mm, and each is carefully comfort-fitted and detailed for maximum ease of wear. Check out the preview, and enjoy the process {Grin}...
Butterflies you say??? This is a great challenging project, and the stage is now set to build an amaazing ring. The wings of the butterflies are set with peridots, and the shape brings the theme home. The center area is a frame of smaller diamonds set in a box, which frames a princesscut diamond which is set just above the field, for a great effect. The master is molded to make the ring, and we are set to go now to molding and casting, and a fine result...
A fast drawing of a dragon ring, the 10mm x 8mm oval cab is set from the back, the "critter" is domed and rounded so it follows the stone's shape nicely, and the dramatic celtic knottwork on the sides ballences the design so very nicely... Sneak peek at what might be :)
Here is a variation of the celtic swirl rings that I designed, and do also note the super nice comfort-fitted inside edge that makes this ring really comfortable indeed. The swirls design is an almost textural feeling, the very complex and tight detail taken from the Book of Kells, and refined into a repeating design. Available in gold platinum and silver in either house designs or your favorite custom design...
Sneak Peek!...
So, the deal on the cool nice plump solitaire is this, is you like meaning the heartshape flush mounted diamonds are about the coolest way to symbolize that, and yet still make a sleek elegant ring for the display of a fine fine diamond. This ring whispers elegantly, and is rock solid to last a lifetime (not a marketing buzz)... The center crown is low and sleek, and the overall effect is amazing. Fer a three stone ring this yellow gold ring is trim and elegant, with a bridge work side that is logically beautiful indeed. The stepped side stones are slightly angled to match the curve, and you can see yerself this is a great result...
Previews, future treasures and finished too!...
Jumpin' Jupiter, and citrine comets too!!!...
Now, when presented with a great idea I like to roll it around for a bit, and in that I have come up with an amazing path here for a blaster ring, and most from which others might be easily made for executive publishers. For an author's dream ring the custom ring was the only way to go... The top will be rounded and slightly raised, giving a nice banking curve for the text. The ring body below will be formed into a skirt, and a more rounded feel that conforms to the top nicely. The bands on Jupiter I see as various textures, which will give a marvelous separation. The stones are imaged and will all work wonderfully well... Enjoy the preview, you will love the ring :) Oh yeah, shown also a new crown for the trillion ring, and a powerfully cool Celtic ring too!!!! Gotta slip in the drawing for the Weir Clan too, check that one out!!!
Der gent's celtic emerald ring!
Now, this is for a really big guy here, and the finger size and width really
work together for the design, it is amazing how fine and wonderfully defined
this pattern is... I made metal rails to build the section up for the emerald
to be set, and the effect is that of the ropes and knottwork raising up
to hold the stone, extending as it were to fill that role... The bright
outer edge, the center pattern, the way the ring works is powerfully great...
Sorry this took so long, enjoy the preview!!!!
Kicking choice for pearls!
Call Duane for more information, but as I shoot these they both look great,
with the one having a slight rose cast. Both are very nice and ready to
rock tomorrow...
A major cool princesscut and a matte finished bezel set solitaire!
That princesscut is a 1.08 carat blaster, and we're showing this to a client
today. Crisp and clean at a "E-VVS1" this diamond is definately a prime
time example of just how good a princesscut can really be. Bright and full
bodied this diamond is second to none... The bezel set solitaire is sweet,
strong and about the most troublefree way to set a stone possible. Add an
elegant micro-bead blast finish to produce a matte finish and you have one
darned cool ring indeed. Got more to do today, just working my way thru
a step at a time...
Sneak Preview! Jeff's rather amazing ring, before setting...
So, it's peridots for the wings here, white gold for the body and a princesscut?......
Penrose has a new lighter satin band, and some pearls to see......
UPDATE! A complex dream ring, platinum with a fine princesscut......

A new designs plate that I am working on, take a peek?..
Two drawings,/simulations, a wax and two finished..
Der signet ring is a wonderful look indeed..
A six pack of Dreams about to come true, all masters from which I make the rings..
Wax on, Wax off, while platinum butterfies fly by..
Hey Tim!!!! Time to preview this amazing project..
Tim drew an amazingly complex design that is very meaningful to him and the gal, and so rather than try to find a way to simplify this I worked to find a way to make it possible. The filligree feeling elements that frame the center are cool, the wave crest below is higher than the under side of the wave, with a rose at the bottom, for amazing effect. With the installing of the crown and strap for the crown and engraving we are now ready to make this dream come true. Morganite is a most unusual stone, and in this white gold ring it is very subtile indeed. Great lines to this ring for sure... Heartshape diamond pendant, a nice strong open link chain and a great look is had... Enjoy the previews :)
Pave' set by Ray, the matching band too! ..and Jeff, yer stone seems to fit pretty good {Grin}..
Had to set Jeff's stone into the ring body, have not changed out the plate yet Jeff, but just checking the fit, ya know :)
Soooo, what we have here is a sweet platinum ring that I just finished setting in the european style of pave' setting. Note that each side has aq center row of diamond that number five, these are 1.75mm diamond and to brick in the side rows there are four stones per side which are 1.25mm diameter. I love elaborate setting, it has been my specialty for thirty years. Now, as you can see, there is a border line cut that contains the structure, and the theme of pave is to pave the background, like cobblestones, which it does nicely with the border line defining the shape of the sides of the shank. The center is a radiant cut of amazing properties, and the result??? Aw hell, you tell me... {grinning knowingly now)
Now, there is this banker guy that I really enjoy, and he had this idea of twin bands next to the existing elegant celtic dragon band ring. Wanted to show this just before the three are laser welded together, all sized properly and just blaster nice... Gotta say Bob, it is always a real pleasure working with ya, you have some very legandary projects, the crosses, and more... The diamond outer rails will be simply wonderful Bob, enjoy the preview, she'll absolutely love the result in person...
Nature is the theme of this newest natural wonderful design!..
Some very cool thangs to preview....
Wanted to pre-cut the incredible pierced ring, and re-draw the "family" celtic design..
Today featuring dream ring for Jeffery Parry and more...
Today featuring a one of a kind silver pin for Greg Marshall, and perhaps a dream ring for Jeffery Parry
Jeffery Parry is a stone cutter, and has cut a spectacular 11.3 x 11.3mm Rhodolite, and a dream... For you see, Jeffery saw this ring in his mind first, then provided the most excellent art and theme to find it in the real world... This is the master from which the ring can be made, and the first place that a dream starts to gain weight and substance... Gotta love this one, gave me fits :) Of note is that I will wax in before casting the sides of the top crest, which will blend into the surface below along the lines I piloted there for that... Takes a bit of vision to see this, but we can see it much closer than the drawing phase for sure...
Today a butterfly with diamond wings, crossovers, carbon lattice & Celtic Bands!!!!
The Zoomorphic Band, Bulls and Monkeys!!!!!
Custom can be amazingly personal, less than a week ago this was a request about a "Celtic Bull and Monkey" idea, and with a preview of what that might be we moved to making the master mockup of the ring, which you see here minus the black star sapphire coming... Imaged to the finger size, the stone size and for effect it don't get much better than this!!!! Your idea can come soaring thru, translated into personalized rings and a story for a lifetime, a symbol of who you are... Delightful to process such a great idea, enjoy the preview!!!! Now, I was asked "What would happen if you took the "Tulip Crown" and built a stylized floral base for it, in the same general configuration"... I figured that it would be a challenge to see how clearly I could make that idea come thru... How'm I doing!?! {grin}... Hell yeah it will work :) That is my professional opinion... :)
The Zoomorphic Band, solitaires and more!!!!!
Hey TIm, take a peek at this!!!!!!
Now, this was a plate that I cut and shaped today to rough out how the design does in the process. Does nicely indeed, but check out that third row to the left shot, that is the "Tip of a Papermate Ballpoint Pen!!!" so as far as piercing out the filligree element, that is not possible... The seam will not be there of course that you see here, this is a mockup, but you see that this design does indeed "live" in this process well, and I will reimage this Monday to adjust stone center size, and bump up the lines for detail some where I see it is needed. Had to show ya that you were not forgotten!!!!! See what I mean about the limited area for filligree in making a custom ring with all that going on????
Now, it just occured to me!!!!!!
Two very fine silver celtics to see some today!!!!!!
Black Star Sapphire, Celtic theme "Bull and Monkey" design and more!!!!!!

For Robin's marquise diamonds, a celtic home!!!!!!
Now, Robin has a sweet group of seven marquise diamonds from an old ring, and we are planning a new celtic flavored home for them, in a ring rich with celtic swirls and the sides are also ornimented with a knott design that marches around the entire ring. The edges will be millgrained, and the stones set nice and low. I wanted to say how pleased I was with your generous gift for Bill and his family, and wanted to get this done with some class and style poste haste! You helped to make my dream come true, I could do no less for you!!!! Enjoy the preview, no seams will show and of course the prongs are not yet built up, but the placement, the engineering, is done :) A cool ring for Bob, and another sweet cathedral style solitare just finished, hand made... Two rubies to see, one a deep rich red color and a rounder shape at 0.46 carats and $160 or the other at 0.34 carats in a lighter shade of red at $74 on trhe nosey, you choose :) Also a great finished platinum ring burnished with trillions diamond and sapphires!!!!
OOOOhhh AAAahhhh......... .
Eternity, Wax and Master...
Is Dina ever gonna be thrilled, and more...
Visions of things to come...
Aaahhh, now some flights of fantasy are about to come booming into yer sight, one that uses seven marquise diamonds and is restyled into a dramatic and exciting celtic theme ring. The outer edges rather than be rails will be millgrained, and the sides are nicely patterned because we designed this ring at 2 1/2mm thickness for a super nice feel, comfort-fitted of course and with the stones set very low... Next a ring based on a Moonstone that is just about 6.75mm in diameter... The design on the side is a client specified design, which has been reworked to go around a curve, the top is a celtic swirl design that marchs up the tapering ring to the center bezel... A great look here, and a touch that I think is very cool was the inserts in thye side that mirror the smaller elements of the circling knotts on the sides. Great ideas are just that, and deserve to be built and protected from braindead sales-clerks and bean-counters... That's my job, to make dreams come true, and structure the system by which that can be so... Call today to see yer dream unfold here as well... Ray Elsey

Platinum bands and delicate hand engraving by Ray.....
![]()
The Platinum Asian Dragons take flight, soaring into the night. Bordered with a strong rope-like element the dragons clutch the Yin/Yang and make for a stunning result. Strongly comfort-fitted and elegantly substantial, platinum is a wonderful metal to preserve details. Next is a wonderfully plush and rounded ring with a bright cheerful 18Kt element running the center. The next ring is one that I designed and hand engraved for the Binkley clan. Bagguettes form a fan, framed with ornimented roundells. Love that look. The celtic swirls design is great in a natural and subtile finish, the wonderfully detailed and ornate textural nature of the swirls makes for a very fine look. The last is the hounds barking ring, with the most dramatic and ornate of the zoomorphic designs, bordered with a nice edge to make for a tailored and refined look. Platinum is a great and wonderous metal for sure, and this is why :) Stand by all...
The simulated custom celtic wedding set, with yer emerald and springtime???.
Seems that the impending spring brings butterflys of many varieties. Here we see what will be all platinum, with no antique at all as is hinted in the mag, but a natural finish. Sapphires are set into the wings, for a blast of intense color. See, by using this process and the symmetry which is can do the darkness of sapphires against platinum will highlight the shapes, the wings, the idea. The section between the tails would be cut out "after" casting in the metal... But here be what that might look like, and with yer wife's existing emerald cut. We'd wanna use a baslet crown and much along these lines I think...
The next simulation, The engagement ring is set with yer stone for size and scale, and the art is laid out in yer finger size too. The wedding ring I saw that it was quite thin and puzzeled how to get a powerfully nice design yet stay that thin, when the answer came to me... The borders just take up the room, so I set them aside in favor of a rich design that will make for a good pattern and maximize the width as well as definition, flipped for symmetry in the center. Enjoy the simulation, and Tim, am working on yer ring as I go...
The finest of European Hand Engraving tradition, sapphire and Platinum???.
Now, when I write descriptions I like to be looking at the ring, and here I see the reason I got into this business, sheer delightful beauty. Trillion sapphire is where this all starts, and from there the form of the ring grew. Based on a solid idea this was a joy to see progress, and as Jerome finishes the hand engraving you can see the a fine, strong, and most elegant family heirloom has been born. Jerome is a master, I tip my hat to the best hand engraver I know, and have ever seen in 35 years in this business. Another section of sapphires is also shown trillions times three... I will burn in the weights in a moment. Enjoy the preview...
Der knott pattern but with princcess cut center and square side stones!.
A drawing of the Medieval Dragons with a Chinese "Double Lucky" symbol, to celebrate their dual heritage. Soon to be platinum and sure to be the talk of their friends. Flowing lines, strong and well defined. Enjoy the preview...
Now, of course the knott designs are strong and powerfully defined, and with this design I show a center in yellow gold, framed with white gold rails, and more than that... The stones on the top are planned into the design, the rope design becomes the rails, and the top of the ring gently thickens, to clear the bottom of the stones and to make them appear in the design, not stuck on top... Crisply and cleanly yours, enjoy the preview!
Fast pictures of amazing fine!.
